Everybody needs beauty as well as bread, places to play in and pray in, where nature may heal and give strength to body and soul. Good landscape design is a dance between human artistry and the world of nature. I believe that having beautiful and harmonious places to enjoy the outdoors in the convenience of one's own yard helps to promote balance and peace in our busy lives.
As a life-long artist, I bring the love of beauty, composition, form and color to my design work. I paint with plants: the leaping, feathery beauty of a tall ornamental grass; the sturdy structure of a border hedge; the rollicking spill of blossoms that is a drift rose; the heavenward-pointing vertical of a fastigiate juniper; the pop of white and blue flowers against a shady backdrop; the placement of art and places to repose and dream.

I hired Candace to create a design for my front entryway. She found out what I wanted in terms of color, style, and cost, and within the week had some renderings to share with me. She had come up with a plan that matched what I was looking for and invited me to share any additions or changes I wanted.
