Moved into a new house in Santa Rosa that was in serious need of weed removal, ivy removal, pruning and trimming of bushes and trees. They do it all. Todd, the owner, came out to my house personally after less than 24 hours of me contact them. He gave us a great quote and work started that same week. Quality of work is awesome and the crew is really personable. Would highly recommend to any residence or business!

The other reviews tell the story. Spoke with Todd and agreed upon a 200$ cost to repair drip lines, he would send his guys on Saturday ( ok, great). They came and repaired a pipe, and left.
Drip system still not working, several voicemails later, with no answer, I lost all respect for the "nice family man".
2 months later, I get a bill for 365$, for irrigation service call, repairs, cover lines & check system. At that point, the water had not even been turned on!
Still no functioning drip system and $$$ in dead plants.

I will simply attach a copy of a text that I finally had to send Todd after much frustration with this man and this company.
I'm normally a pretty fair judge of character and I really anticipated having a good working relationship with you after we met and talked.
My understanding was that instead of having things formally down on drafting paper that our plan would be fluid with my basic ideas and input from you as to how we could best implement those ideas.
You said several times that"we will make a plan together"
But unfortunately I feel that some of my ideas were not heard

Watch out for this one. We were way overcharged for the work done, and the work done was inferior at best. We are older, and definitely were taken advantage of. Workers whacked down a beautiful geranium in full bloom rather than moving it carefully out of the way. Left a hedge half

We have been with Budget for over a year. Our yard looks fine when we get home so we didn't know what went on during their visits. However, being home during a few visits has brought up too many concerns.
The worker had no regard for our plants, animals, or property. Simply blowing with a gas blower. Leaves, branches, wood chips, small rocks hit our house and windows. The worker was not properly protected with earplugs eye protection or gloves. We asked for them to stop blowing and simply rake and broom. The request was ignored. We asked for fewer visits to compensate for more hand work.

I had budget for a number of years. My review is based on that fact. They frequently broke pottery in my yard. They didn't show up some weeks. The workers get a long holiday off , which during that time they do not perform services , yet customers pay for the entire month. Workers are lazy. They do the minimum. I was a fool for staying with them as long as I did.

Good quality sod installed front and back satisfactorily. Follow up terrible. Although my contract, which I had to wait 3 weeks to get a copy, stated checking current sprinkler system in good working order, I am still waiting for return visit to adjust sprinkler heads. Job done in April. Also a bit pricey

Unfriendly employees and unsafe work practices
My neighbor uses these guys from her yard.
Today the gardeners were using string trimmers and throwing rocks all over my house and car. When I asked them to stop, they got quite belligerent with me.
I think he wanted to fight me.
They need to hire people that know how to use their power tools correctly. I know they could do a better job training their workers.

Very difficult to get a hold of Todd; he doesn't call you back or keep his appointments. His staff does a shabby job, frequently missing areas and making muddy areas in the lawm. The staff does not care about breaking pottery or respecting drip tubing and other plants in the yard. He bills you for a visit every week but usually appears every other week.
When he does show up he is very curt and brief; cannot recommend.

Disappointed with most aspects of this service. The work they did was not to professional standards. Had to call them back several times to fix or complete things left undone. Finally, after months, they said it was all complete. assured me the irrigation system was working and set to automatically water. 10 days later, I saw the plants withering and looked at the electronic timer. It was OFF. So, I downloaded the instructions (none were given to me) and set it up myself. Not acceptable by any means. He did choose nice plants for the yard; but hey, that's the easy part, right?

I've got decades of experience with Landscaping Companies . Todd and his crew have impressed us beyond my expectations AND hopes! Todd understood what we were trying to express and was extremely capable of showing us our ideas on paper and then implementing them. I have never seen a work crew, work so steadily and professionally when the boss isn't around ever in my life. (I'm a daughter, sister and x-wife of contractors- even landscaping) .
On top of that, this is a big ticket project for my husband and me and there is an extra satisfaction in working with a trustworthy local family

This company has left many fliers on our doorstep over the years even though we have 2 no solicitor sign. This time I was in need of a gardener and was having great troubles trying to find one that could do the job, (busy season) so I called Budget landscaping. I was told he would call back on Monday to set up a time on Tuesday to come look and give a quote. By Wednesday no one had called so I called back and left a message that day. I have used them over the years to do a yard clean up twice a year. This last time, instead of pulling the weeds they just weed whacked them and sprayed with weed killer. Well, of course the weed are knee high and it's only been about a month and 1/2. It wasn't cheap and when I called to ask if maybe they forgot to spray the weed killer the response was that "yes they sprayed but it wasn't the kind that killed the seeds and I should really sign up for a twice a month service for this problem." I don't think the seeds could have sprouted and be knee high in only 6
