Southland Nursery is a locally owned family business since 1972. Our Conway location covers nearly 30 acres of plants, shrubs, flowers & trees fields and greenhouses. In fact, it is so large that our customers have to tour in one of our golf carts! Our Myrtle Beach location is located close to many of the newer housing developments and is readily available to serve customers living closer to the beach.

The variety of plants that we hold at our two sites come from trusted southern coastal growers and are held in our nursery to insure that from the smallest sprig to our mature 20' tall trees, all are hardy for our area. So protect your investment by counting on our 40 plus years of experience before making your tree, shrub, or ground cover selections.

Our trained staff know what thrives in our southern coastal climate plus, our plant prices will match if not beat the big box stores. Explore our site and then stop in and visit us at either our Conway or Myrtle Beach location. We look forward to being of service to you.

We are a gardeners nursery with everything for both the expert and novice alike. Local Soil Conditions - Simplified, Coastal South Carolina has three basic types of soil. One is Silicate that looks like black dirt in which water just stands on top. There is also a second type called Wet Clay it is like jello-locals call it Gumbo. Thirdly there is, being on the coastline, a type called Sandy Soil-which is very porous due to its sand content.

I purchased 5 red plum trees for $125.00 each. The purchase was on 4/27/2021. They delivered and installed on 4/29/2021. They were looking rough when they got here. So on 4/30/21, I called to tell the nursery that they looked pretty bad. Cindy explained that they were in shock. So, I called again on 5/03/21. Cindy again explained that they were not dead, just in shock. She asked me to call back in two weeks and if they were still and, she would come out to look at them.
I called on 05/17/21 to advise they looked even worse. She asked how often I was watering them.
I said twice a day. I asked

Very deceptive practices. Quote you one price and upon delivery is a different price. Inexperience tree and plant contractor. I had to tell them what to do supposed to have 15 years experience.

Arrived and began a conversation with a woman about wanting to come up with a solution for our back yard. Mid-conversation her phone rang, without a word she walked away and never came back to help us. The place was NOT busy. Poor customer service and I will not return.

This company just charged me $20 to cancel an order that never left their property. And I told them I would be back to purchase product another time but hey did not care. I would suggest finding another nursery with better customer service

Great service, great prices and great selection. When you buy a plant from Southland you know it is a good plant that has been taken care of. You will find plants at a big box store too, but I would rather buy local and buy from people who take care of their product. I know anything I buy here will be healthy and survive to become a great addition to my yard. Plus they are always going to give you great advice, it is hard to get good knowledgeable help from other places around.
