Our designs are grounded in years of construction experience, giving us the knowledge to utilize these materials for highly practical designs that reflect a true commitment to craftsmanship.

Our mission is to get people outside and into the elements. Element Garden Design is Nao (Naosuke) Nemoto. His youth was spent in Japan, Europe and the Bay Area.
He derives inspiration for his work from his diverse background. After graduating from University with a degree in Architecture, Nao took the road less traveled and spent time working as a construction foreman, professional gardener, woodworker and landscape designer. Element Garden Design is the culmination of his years mastering various trades and applying them to his passion for landscaping.

Naosuke re designed my yard 10 yrs ago and I am still enjoying the different areas he created in my garden. He has a good sense for how the flow should be in an outdoor area. Working with him was really pleasurable because he listened and then designed thoughtful, practical and beautiful options that suited my desires and delighted me because he offered options I had not thought of. I highly recommend him as a garden designer.

Nao designed my garden, and I am very happy with it. Nao has an eye for creating a natural elegance of design, harmonizing plant materials with hardscape such as patio pavers, rock work, benches and stairs. He is a good communicator, eliciting what is wanted from those he works with. He is able to translate his client's ideas and sensibilities into a beautiful form with practical function. I found him to be reliable; he sticks to his projected time table, something rare to find. I couldn't be happier and highly recommend this creative, responsive and responsible designer.
