Farnell Heating and Air Conditioning performed maintenance on the AC units at my school today. On multiple occasions there were arguments and foul language used in the hallway. After about the third time, I went out and told them that it was not appropriate behavior in a school setting and to please stop. The OWNER of the company proceeded to sarcastically apologize and slammed both of my doors. I was very embarrassed for our students and for his employees that do not deserve to be spoken to in that manner.

Was charged $260 for a service call that should have been no more than $100. When I called to discus the shocking $160 up-charge, the owner promptly returned my call only to yell obscenities, express his annoyance that someone would question the work done, and then hang up on me without any intention of a civilized conversation. Extremely unprofessional, and quite frankly offsetting... After looking into this incident, I found other reviews referencing Mr. Farnell's poor temper, which matched the ridiculous phone call I received.

Mr. Farnell changed out the heating and A/C unit in my parents declining 44 year old house. He was very thorough and went the extra mile to make sure the job was done correctly. Farnell heating and air came to my house and charge me $162 to repair my air conditioning unit. When I woke up the next morning the unit was still not working. I called Varnell to complain and the lady hung up on me. I had to get another air conditioning company and pay another $400 to fix Farnell's mistakes. I then told farnell that I would pay for the service call but I didn't feel owed anything else since they did not fix anything else. Farnell would not agree to these terms. Farnell did not repair my air-conditioner but charge me as if they did. The people who work at Farnell are

I contacted Farnell to replace an existing water source heat pump a few years back. They replaced it with a new unit, FHP brand, and all was fine for four years. A leak developed in the air transfer coils on the unit in just four years. Meanwhile another AC unit failed completely, so I asked them to look into both systems. They told me the first unit was covered under warranty, and that they would get back to me with a quote on the other AC system while they were waiting on the warranty part. It was a month waiting for that all to be done. I never heard back from them regarding the other unit

We've experienced issues with our air conditioner over the past months and had to call them a few times for various issues this summer. The first time they had come over, they had just put freon in our system although the technician said it was fine--and had said our house was badly insulated and old. Then two weeks later we had called them to check our system when our AC stopped cooling on a Sunday--they did find the capacitor had blown.
