Our materials are sourced from sawmills locally and from kilns in the Northeastern United States. Bad Axe is in search of local specialty timbers used in our custom construction at all times working with local logger and tree removal specialists. The use of our own sawmill is crucial in providing services needed to construct your timber frame home!
Bad Axe Log Homes truly began in 1999 when I stacked my first log in Red Feather Canyon just west of Fort Collins, CO. Honestly I didn't think that would be the start of a now 20-year20 year career in home construction and design. We offer many styles and shapes with our log home packages along with our experienced building staff and custom design team.
