Lived in a residential building that this company did work on. Different employees said different things at different times. Promises by one hand were not kept by the other. The on site leadership was nice and tried to resolve issues but did they often could not even speak with the labor (who couldn't speak English, depending on which specific jobs were being done), and so the labor sometimes would remove items from the unit inappropriately. More than one neighbor reported similar issues in conversation with me. Be very careful if you live in any building having work done by Gores. There were several

Gores is a top notch company. Their communication is excellent from the start of the job to the employees on site. Gores does exactly what they say they are going to do and when they say they are going to do it. Their work is excellent. I trust Gores in all matters related to assessing the needs of our condos and repairing the problems that come up over time.

We highly recommend Gores Construction! We had leakage from rain above our sliding doors. They expertly diagnosed the problem...leakage of rain through the siding above the doors. Their team was prompt, courteous and thorough. They started the repairs on-time and finished their work earlier than projected. The cost of repairs was fair and we could not be any happier with their excellent work!

Gores constitution team has been a pleasure to work with. We have had some very unpleasant experiences with a previous contractor. Gores team came in and finished part of the project and made our lives so much easier. They installed a 48 inch dual fuel oven, fixed siding and vent issues from previous contractor, installed cabinet pulls and a new 48 inch hood vent. It’s amazing how much stress disappears in a remodel project when you know that you can trust your contractor. Gores construction is that contractor. We look forward to working with them again.

Been working with Gores Construction for a little over a year. We were in litigation on our home for 4 1/2 years and they were instrumental in helping us receive a positive outcome. Their design work, quality and team have been nothing short of perfect. We are so impressed with what they've done with our home that they're now helping us with our office building. We've never worked with a construction company this well organized, diligent and professional. Couldn't be happier! Thank you Sean Gores and team! The input that we've received from Jacqueline & Marcus Gores

We had a 2.4 million update to our condo complex and as the liaison with the owners, I have to say that Gores Construction was worth every penny. They were especially great at handling issues with owners and keeping everyone informed of what they were doing. The quality of work by every team of workers was exceptional and the managers were onsite every day. Than you, Gores for such a positive experience.
Our complex is beautiful!

Gores completed a project on my 32 unit condominium complex. I have listed the pros and cons from my experience below.
Pros:
1. Great Communication from the lead supervisor at our site.
2. Complaints that were made were taken seriously by the CEO.
3. Quality work.
Cons:
1. Extremely expensive and overpriced bid.
2. As soon as the project ended the lead supervisor became unresponsive.
3. They left the site a mess. There are literally hundreds and hundreds of nails around the condominium complex that we are left to clean up. I have included a picture of nails that I collected in five minutes

Gores Construction, with Hanree Ghores as project manager (wonderful and knowledgeable gentleman), did a great job on a privacy wall I asked them to replace. They were super responsive to calls and emails throughout the process; and efficient; and the finished product was perfection. I knew Gores from a major remediation they did at a townhome project in West Linn, where I owned a property, and where their work was also excellent. So I have found they do both large and small projects well, which means they have great practice systems. Many contractors I have found to be disappointing in reliability

I’ve worked with Sean for many years and he has helped dozens of my clients who have construction defects in their homes. He is the best and most responsible contractor I know. What impresses me most is his responsiveness, so much so that if he answers his phone on the third ring, I say, “what the hell took you so long to answer.” Aside from that, he is extremely talented and knowledgeable. Sean wouldn’t build anything that didn’t comply with the code and product manufacturers installation specifications.

I own a unit in a condo complex with a huge project costing $2,000,000. resulting in an assessment of over $40,000. per unit. While this project was extensive, it did take a year to complete. Some of the crew they employed were friendly and very professional. Others spent weeks talking, laughing, lounging around taking weeks to complete a portion that should have taken days. They seemed to forget that people live here, blocking walkways and outside doors. There were portions that had to be re-done several times because they weren't done correctly the first time. Patios were spray painted over dirty

Gores is doing a lot of the updating at the apartments I live in right now, and while the crew has been very friendly and helpful when needed (JP was awesome), the work in general is taking a long time and they make a huge mess around all the buildings. I've found nails and sharp objects everywhere, including my porch, where workers have also left trash wrappers. There are lots of kids that live here and I worry about them getting injured on something. The work starting at 7:30am is also disrupting to tenants, who are trying to sleep while people are banging on the siding with hammers. As

If you are looking for qualify work do not go here! These guys are an absolute mess. They have had to come out four, soon to be five times, to fix awful sliding glass doors. One of them knicked our brand new ceilings and had to come back to paint touch the place, didn't even tell us they had caused an issue on newly painted ceilings. Then they bent another side door so makes a large clanging noise and no longer shuts properly. They came out and told us it was "now fixed" we confirmed IT IS NOT. Then our other sliding glass door wasn't properly sealed and last time they were

Gores Construction is really great to work with. They hired Harlo Interactive to design and develop their current website and they were friendly, easy to work with and very responsive through the entire website process. It's always nice to have friendly clients who are collaborative and kind. Thank you Gores for working with us.

I'd like to post a response to the negative review (since deleted) by a resident of the Matthew Frank development in the St Johns neighborhood of Portland.
I am a homeowner and active member of the association responsible for hiring and managing the rehabilitation of the 111-unit property following the unfortunate discovery of extensive construction defects. SGC was selected after a thorough review of their reputation working on large-scale condominium projects and a competitive bidding process.
Project criteria included plans to minimize the disruptions to residents as much as possible
