Phil Pledger Painting just completed painting the exterior of our home, which included a very challenging outdoor cabana with a high, stained ceiling. We selected them primarily because they were a family owned business. Kelly came out to give us a quote. He was very knowledgeable and a pleasure to work with throughout the process. Their painters are employees (including family members), not subcontractors. They weren't the least expensive, but quoted a very fair price. The crew was pleasant, hard working and did a great job. This company is doing work they are NOT LICENSED FOR. They signed a contract with my condo Assoc. to replace the wood on the exterior of our 16 buildings, pressure wash and then paint for 60 condo units.
Turns out they are not a GENERAL CONTRACTOR AND ARE ONLY LICENSED FOR PAINTING AND PRESSURE WASHING.
I called the city of Jax out of curiosity as a condo owner to ask if they pulled permits for the job. They did NOT PULL PERMITS, and the city fined them $6,000 because they were not licensed to do this work.
Pledgers got another Co. to cover them with a license, and continued the work. Now

Pledger Painting did the most amazing job on our house! It looks brand new and perfect, and they did a thorough job. All of the workmen were professional, neat, personable and clean. When they were done, everything was put back and put away. No clean up after these guys! The price was reasonable and exactly what we expected. I HIGHLY recommend Pledger Painting! Wish they had a 10 star rating!

They were on time with the estimate, and every day they worked on the house. A couple of the workers actually arrived early several days. Their foreman, Kelly, is top notch. And one of the most impressive things was how detailed they were. We noticed them sanding, caulking, and filling areas that we did not even seem to need any attention

Absolutely amazing company to work with. From the planning to the finished product, my fiancée and I are thrilled about how our new house came out. They applied 2 coats of paint outside (which was more than anticipated) with no extra cost. They fixed cracked stucco and power washed my house prior to painting. The workers were very professional and very detail oriented. If I could give more stars I would! ***100% RECOMMEND!!!

I have known Phil & Pam for over 15 years and have just today given them the go ahead to repaint our full interior and all exterior painting as well. To still be in business after 40 years, you do business the right way and take care of any issues that come up. The bidding process with Phil was very pleasant and ended up with a lower price with the highest quality of paint compared to other bidders. We had a great experience with Phil Pledger Painting! They did a really nice job painting our home and Mikey did a fantastic job repairing some stucco!! In addition, loved the communication we received, Mikey kept us in the loop about what they were doing and what still needed to be completed. Definitely recommend!

Phil’s grandson and a friend painted my house in Oct of 2017 and I’ve already had to retouch areas of the house that are peeling and were not prepped properly. Phil also told my mom during the consultation that he used Valspar paint but when the grandson showed up it was Behr paint. Just seemed overall sketchy and would not recommend.

The company was very easy to work with and did a wonderful job painting my home. They did little things that made their service above and beyond what was expected. The entire crew is as nice and kind as could be. They appeared to work and communicate very well together to get the job done as a team. They pressure washed my home, water sealed it and changed the color. They also pressure washed and painted my screened in porch and made it look close to brand new again. We had an awesome experience with Phil and his painters. We had the entire interior of our home painted in 3 days. Phil came in to give us a fair quote and was specific with the services offered. No questions were unanswered.
Our painters were a crew of 3-5 each day and they were pleasant, friendly, and worked quickly.
We contemplated doing the work ourselves...but were so glad we didn't! We loved the results and would recommend Phil to anyone in the neighborhood! He came with a friend's enthusiastic recommendation, as well.
