20 Landscaping is a full-service landscaping construction contractor, started in 2003 and based out of the South Hills area of Pittsburgh. Our owner, Mike, began his business with nothing but a shovel, wheelbarrow, and a $25 PennySaver ad, working out of an '86 Chevy Blazer. Since then, 20 Landscaping has evolved to provide high-quality and efficient landscaping services for each and every job - both residential and commercial.
The temperamental Pittsburgh elements make good water drainage around the area of your home a priority. Excess water buildup can lead to a number of problems, including a failing retaining wall, mold and mildew, brick discoloration, wood rot, foundation shifting and cracking, grass decline and mosquitoes.
Weed Control and Lawn Fertilization is often neglected in terms of lawn care. 20 Landscaping will assess the needs of your commercial or residential lawn, and develop a customized fertility plan that will promote healthy grass, eliminate weeds, and control insects and disease. If your lawn is experiencing turf problems, 20 Landscaping has the tools and the experience to remedy the problem and restore your grass to health.
Because leaves are the sole source of nutrients and energy of trees, most can produce hundreds or even thousands of leaves. We were truly disappointed with the lack of ability to know how to edge our flower beds. I had to show the young man and he could not grasp the idea of it. The woman with him gave it a good effort. We were shorted 2 yards of mulch and they didn’t complete the back hillside which was definitely in the bid. When I asked about it, Mike tried to defend not doing it as I read his estimate on the email to him. Unfortunately, this was our first time to hire out for edging and mulch and we would not use them again.

I asked for a quote for spring clean up, mulching, and edging. Their website said they would weed and cleanup beds and mulch. They came for a quote right after I called and the quote was very reasonable. I decided to use them, called them, gave them a deposit and a month later they came. The quote I got was for the mulching and edging. They came and asked to use the neighbors driveway so they wouldn’t have to push the wheel barrow up the hill. I said ok as long as they clean up. Long story short, they barely weeded, didn’t edge at all, and left the neighbors driveway dirty and stained because

Whoever left the " no return call" message isnt valid. We have no record of them or their phone call and they wont respond. Some days we get as many as 100 calls a day. If every phonecall that wasnt returned by landscapers and construction crews ended up as negative review, everyone would be out of business.
Some people are just out to make other people look bad. "No return call" isnt bad business, its called a mistake or something over looked. The owner was willing

After our next door neighbor had work done by 20 Landscaping and it looked great, so we called them for a quote. We wanted to have some beds cleaned up and mulched around the front of the house and to have the steep slope in our front yard weeded and replaced with low maintenance ground cover.
Getting the quote was easy and they even gave us a reasonable price on replacing the stones of our front porch steps, but that’s where the good part ends.
They have been hard to get a hold of, unresponsive to voicemails, don’t follow through on their commitments. And, in our case, did poor work.

I hired 20 Landscaping to do some badly needed landscaping at my parents house in the South Hills. The work was outstanding and the price was great! They went above and beyond to be sure that everything was done exactly as requested. I also use their grass cutting services every week in the spring and summer. I couldn't be happier how the yard looks now. Highly recommended!
