I would give ten stars if I could. Darling did a wonderful job painting our 100+ year-old house in Santa Rosa. We were all impressed with the quality of prep -- even neighbors stopped by and commented in-progress of how well it was going! The team prides themselves in their work -- were punctual, tidy, polite, and professional -- and the results are simply fabulous.
We recommend starting at the paint store for swatches, samples, and suggestions in the brochures. You can paint swatches of the color on your house or we can for an additional fee. We include 3 colors for exterior paint jobs; Main house, all trim/gutters, and a door color. Interior includes, 1 for walls, 1 for ceilings and 1 for trim and doors.

We are happy with the price and work results for the Darling exterior painting of my 1900 Victorian house. We changed the body color after seeing the painted west side, and Darling made a very fair price adjustment for the additional time, effort, and paint cost. I did a thorough online search using Yelp and Nextdoor to identify prospective painting contractors. We had seen several homes in the Junior College area being painted by Darling. Jose was VERY professional, VERY respectful and so lovely to work with! When I needed to change the color of the garage doors he immediately recommended a color and was so helpful. He actually suggested a color of the shutters and I love it! The 4 men that were on his crew were all very sweet, always seemed happy, and smiling everyday; the jobsite was cleaned everyday which was very important to us since Logan and I are super OCD about cleaning; and it was such a GREAT paint job. We highly recommend them!

The experience was top notch. From the estimate to the power washer to the paint crew. They showed up when they said they would. They were neat, clean and professional. We appreciate that the crew allowed us to give input and make small changes. Upon finishing the job when they said they would, the crew did a walk around with us and left us a patch kit. Two sides of our house developed some significant water blistering the last several years. The siding is redwood and is 60 years old or so. Darling and Associates told me through their estimator that the blistering could be repaired with Bondo and would look very presentable when sanded, primed and painted. I went with Darling with optimism that what was proposed to me would work well. 6 months later, the blistering was back and was more pronounced than before. I emailed Darling in December of 2019 to tell them of the problem so they could come back after the rainy season and repair the walls.

Tom Darling painted the exterior of our house four years ago. The stucco was old and cracked in a number of places and the paint was in poor condition. We had also just completed a remodel on part of the house. Tom fielded a hard working and very professional crew, and their work has held up beautifully.
One of the days was gusty and some paint spray drifted onto a neighbor's truck. Tom promptly made arrangements with a local body shop and the truck was returned as shiny as new.
We had gotten three bids and Tom's was the highest. I went with him because of the my contractor's recommendation.

Darling just finished painting our house and we are very pleased with the outcome. As many houses in Skyhawk there was a fairly significant amount of dry rot. Darling had 5 painters on the job and 4 of the five were outstanding and take their profession seriously. Tim was the leader and Victor fixed the dry rot and painted. The young man who sprayed was easy to work with and his work was great. I would have given them 5 stars but one of their painters was very disrespectful and refused to turn off his very loud and woke the neighbors at 0720 and was asked to leave.

When Tom painted our house in Larkfield in the 1990s I looked for the light bulbs and asked one of his painters where they were, the painter said he threw them out and laughed. Darling gave us a good price for the painting and I never complained to Tom. I had to buy light bulbs for every light fixture for the interior of the house

After getting 8 different quotes, we selected Darling and Associates to paint the exterior of our house and the ceilings inside. Every aspect of our project was executed perfectly. From the front office who handled scheduling and communication before the job to the last bit of touch up work, it was an outstanding experience. We were told the crew would arrive at 7AM and for the 5 days they were here, the doorbell rang at 7AM. There were professional and more than pleasant to work with.

I had Tom Darling's crew paint my house last spring and they did a fantastic job! Tom's estimate was very reasonable. His crew foreman, Cody, was professional, timely, and worked with me to determine some of the trim details for the best overall look. Tom also sent me over to John at Benjamin Moore for color consultation and he was a huge help! I plan to use Darling & Assoc. for some other houses as soon as I can get on his busy schedule.

We moved to Oakmont two years ago from Napa, and we wished to change the color of our home exterior which became more necessary after all the flying ash from surrounding fires last year. Going to/from Napa, we passed a home in Sonoma that was being painted by Darling & Associates in a color I loved. Tom Darling, the owner of Darling and Associates Painting, Inc. is highly professional. He returned our initial call within a day and was here the following day to assess our painting needs. The proposal was exceptionally detailed, noting the areas of our house needing special attention.
