John Minnick moved his family to the Reno Truckee area to start Painting by John and has been in operation for more than 18 years. With over 35 years of hands on experience in the painting field John has seen many changes in the industry, some good some not so good, but the best is all the new technology in low (voc) and some 0(voc) paints that are much more environmentally friendly!
John Minnick paints our home as if it were his own. He's painted the exterior and interior of my Northstar house for over twenty-five years. Careful preparation, correct primer and paint selection, and excellent painting are prerequisites for any long lasting paint job. For me, those qualities are non- negotiable.
I am a stickler for performance. John is much more than his ability to to paint. He is conscientious, extremely personable, efficient and timely, affordable, and honest. I have NEVER been disappointed by John. We recently used John to paint our house in Truckee. Our house is located on a hill and part of it is over 3 stories high.

With our extremely harsh weather in the Reno/Tahoe area it is very important to emphasize on thorough preparation, quality products, and proper technique in order to have a long lasting finish. Although interior paint is not exposed to harsh weather it is still important to do proper preparation before applying any top coats.
