Whether you want to install the landscape, yourself or hire a landscape contractor, Kapa Korobeinikov will develop easy to work from, computer-drafted plans that fit your needs. Your master plan will include: a layout plan, a planting plan, and detail sketches or photographs. A master plan consists of a layout plan, a planting plan, planting specifications, and conceptual sketches.
You will be closely involved throughout the design process. As we work together, I guarantee that you will get more and more excited about the prospects for your yard. You will enjoy every part of the process. Our initial meeting will be at your home. I'll show you my portfolio so you can see my work.
For this backyard design, I created two distinct outdoor rooms. Adjacent to the house, a deck leads onto the cobblestone patio which will eventually be shaded by a grove of paperbark maples. A small water feature adds the soothing sound of water. From there, a flagstone path leads to a second patio in stone.
This landscape renovation took advantage of the home's established yard and existing charming features. To create a more interesting entry, my design replaced the plain concrete sidewalk with an inviting brick walkway. New plantings, pathways, and a flowing lawn define several outdoor rooms. A pergola with climbing roses created a sense of enclosure for the new flagstone patio and the lush plantings included many of my client's favorite plants.
Conserve water by planting drought tolerant plants and using water conserving irrigation practices. Retain rainwater on site. If possible, allow your rainwater to infiltrate your soil on your property. Create a rain garden if your site allows it. Look at standing water with different eyes. It's fine to have standing water as long as it does not harm your structures or impede on your use of the area.
