I was looking to get a solar and EV charger solution and they recommended a great product (solar edge)! They came out and installed all my panels, inverter, and EV charger quickly. Unfortunately there was an issue with the system missing the solar boost function for the EV charger. We are so incredibly disappointed with Semper Solaris after contracting with them for a new roof and solar panels. I could never have imagined Semper Solaris could screw this project up so royally. We started this process last summer and we still don't have operating solar, but we do have the privilege of paying both an SDGE bill & our solar loan because of their incompetency:
- First, they had us fund our loan 2 months prior to starting the roof/solar project. This should have been funded when the project was starting.

Semper Solaris has roofing and solar down to a science. I ordered both through SS. The company did all of the contract and design documents by email with DocuSign so there was no paperwork hassle. The company sent out an email with time estimates and then followed up with periodic status updates. Semper Solaris is really a solid choice for your next Solar project. Specific to my project, I had a great overall experience.
I only had two issues related to poor communication (handoff from sales to install, and installer confusion related to an attic conduit run). The first issue was remedied quickly by the management team in the Service Department. The second issue, was expertly handled by the Project Manager.

I used them to install a mini split a/c system in my home. Install team was professional, clean & fast. After a few months i began to have problems with some sweating from the unit. We have had an awful experience with semper solaris so far. Fair warning, they have not even installed anything yet. They blame COVID and SDGE for delays, which is understandable though most businesses have navigated the pandemic reasonably well. But this last month they came to our home for an inspection, gave us completely unclear directions for cutting down a hedge, and when we did it, our job was canceled because of sprinklers in the way. The only reason for the five stars is because of one person, Rachel Korp. Rachel did more in one week than three other people couldn't/wouldn't do in two months. She kept us informed via email and phone, as to the steps being taken, where before, WE were the ones reaching out to see what was taking so long. All we kept getting was "there was a plan change." Flawless from start to finish. From the original sales call and survey to the "Switch On". The communication was direct, friendly, prompt and accurate. Which is what one would want when someone is going to bolt photovoltaic apparatus to the roof of your dwelling! They always alerted me weeks and days in advance as to the agenda and plan and we're never wrong, late or uninformed. Nothing was a surprise. I waited just over six months before posting a review. Back in October 2019 our power was shut off by SDGE for two days and I lost quite a bit of frozen food. Wanted to figure out a solution to prevent future incidents as we live in a "fire danger" area and our subject to future blackouts. I talked with Nicole Laco at Semper Solaris at the beginning of January, and by the end of March I was up and running with 20 solar panels, and two Tesla batteries to prevent any future problems.

Due to the mandatory black outs SDGE imposed on us we were without power several times with the longest outage lasting 3 days. A friend of ours who also experienced outages told us about Semper Solaris and how they were helping him with Tesla batteries.
