Translucent glazes produce a complexity of character, depth, and luminosity that exceeds what can be accomplished by paint alone. Texture adds dimensionality to the painted surface. This affects the look of the paint, as the highs and lows - which can be very slight or exaggerated in height and depth - create highlights and shadows.
Whereas paint determines the color your eyes perceive, glazes and other finishes control how you perceive that color. A glaze is a translucent colored medium that can be applied in a particular way over a properly painted base to achieve depth and character that is not possible with paint alone. Glazes can be ragged, stippled, color-washed, stenciled, and more.

We have used Minnihan Painting for 3 projects now. We had such a good experience with the first one that they are now our go-to painting team. The first project was painting a new house that we were moving into. I really appreciated Paul Minnihan's helpfulness, patience, and aesthetic sense as I depended on him to help me pick just the right colors. In the process he taught me how to see color in a new way and helped me be more aware of how to use color to create a harmonious feeling taking into consideration aspects such as the color of the floors, windows and lighting, etc. His team is great

The work was high quality and done quickly. Paul, the owner, came out himself to give a quote and also stopped by while the job was being done to ensure everything was to my liking. I couldn't have been more happy with Minnihan Painting and will definitely be using them in the future.

Minnihan Painting is a phenomenal company. Paul did a color consultation with me and we picked out a palate for the apartment, and his painters came in and did efficient and professional work. My place was left clean and in good order. Minnihan Painting uses quality paints and after 6 years, I've only needed some minor touch-ups.

I owned a handyman service company for nine years, and I used Paul Minnihan and his crew for much of that time. He did work for many of my customers, and the feedback from them was outstanding. Extremely professional and able to handle challenging tasks. I will continue to use them personally, and highly recommed them to all. Great paint company!
