We hired Rockin Roofers to fully replace our roof, which is large with quite a few odd angles. Tarry led the project and did an excellent job. He responded immediately throughout and was very well informed. When we had a potential issue with the timing of the roof demolition, he quickly solved the problem and got us back on track. There are a lot of hidden costs, the quote that they gave me excluded an additional layer of roof removal and excluded the underlayment. It eventually led me to pay about 50% more than the initial quote. Would not recommend or go through the things that are covered in detail with them.
The people who installed the roof were very good, did a great job and cleaned up after the work. But they have to be upfront with the cost, very disappointed

I called several roofing and solar companies. I wanted to get both done from the same company. I ended up picking Rockn Roofing/ Simply Solar. It has been 6 months since my roof has been completed. Everything looks good and no leaks from the rain. I received good comments on my roof.
Ask for David, he has great communications. Constantly keeps me updated and has done accommodation work. John has good communications as well. Everything went smooth and no hidden charges. Staff is also very friendly.

After a looooooooonnnnggggg time investigating roof and solar contractors, we finally ended up connecting with Rockin Roofers (and Simply Solar). We had had some not great experiences with other contractors so it was great to connect w Allie and Dave at RR.
The contracting, permits, scheduling process was communicative and easy.
We had some electrical work that needed to be done and they were able to accommodate that as well.
During the installation, we got regular updates from Allie and the old deck removal, insulation install, and new deck took exactly as long as predicted.

I recently bought a home, (March) and upon last week's rains our flat torchdown bitumen roof was leaking. I knew of Rockin Roofers services so I contacted them to help with the repair. They scheduled me within 2 days, came out today and had the whole area patched and repaired in 3 hours. Oracia, Gregorio and Rob were great: courteous, knowledgeable and professional. I used Simply Solar a few years ago (2018) at my house and they had fixed a small leak that I had at the time they installed the Solar. Well, a commercial building we own had a badly leaking roof and after our management team received a few estimates all in the low to mid 40K range I gave Jake at Simply Solar a call to see if their team handles commercial TPC roofs. Thankfully they do, they sent a crew out to take a look at the roof and sent me a complete report with photos of all the issues and how they would be corrected. These guys were great. We needed a new roof and had wanted to have solar done for quite some time. We had three solar bids, two with roofing bids also. Then we also had two roofers bid the work. Simply Solar and Rookin' Roofers were one of the bidders. Both divisions made us feel very comfortable with their knowledge and products. The other solar company didn't even bring their roofer with them. We hired Rockin Roofers to remove the existing roof and replace with a new 50 year roof, with a non prorated no dollar limit warranty that also covers labor. From my research, this is the best warranty that any roofing company offers - and it's transferable!
They use products that are made in America, and do not use sub contractors for any part of their roof installations. From start to finish, we were kept well informed of all project timelines and status updates. There were no big surprise change orders like some contractors like to hit you with after you sign a contract.

We had our roof done by Rockin' Roofers a couple months ago. They coordinated everything with me and kept me well informed along the way. Their crew was very kind and courteous. The quality of the work was great. They even put in free gutter guard for me. I've done many construction projects on my house and this was definitely one of the best experiences I have had with a contractor. Would definitely reccomend them.

We just had a big storm and a redwood branches pierced right through our brand new roof

While Simply Solar, the owner of this company, does good work, the roofing subsidiary is the worst contractor I've ever worked with. The staff who field the calls from me are great. But the guy in charge, Don Kestler, is full of promises his team just can't keep. His team made a huge list of mistakes that I had to keep close track of, and it was months before they were corrected.

Don came out when scheduled, explained everything clearly and provided me his bid. I reminded him it was for an insurance repair & needed it to be itemized; he did so & sent me the revision as promised.
The crews showed up on time, did all the work as cited in the contract, not only w/o any change orders or hidden additional charges, but Don also had them perform an additional small maintenance repair on another similar skylight to prevent another

I was really impressed with the roofing guys. Very nice to work with - kept me posted everyday to on progress. My favorite thing was they they cleaned up everyday- you couldn't tell there was a project when the family came home. They worked though one of the hottest weeks of the year and got the project done in a week. I did a solar+roof combination and satisfied with the price/value/quality of the project.
