JMS Friendly Islands Construction has based its principles through relationship building with it's customers and its employees. Family owned and grown, we value being able to serve others with our best abilities and take the time to understand our customers vision. Josh Sekona, the owner of the company, decided to name the business deriving from his roots in Tonga, which is known as the "Friendly Islands."

Established in 1984, the company began its startup in Los Angeles, California. In 1995, Josh moved with his family and the business to Juneau, Alaska where he has built a great following. With over 30 years of experience, our portfolio includes residential and commercial work of diverse project types.

We understand that becoming partners with our customers means reflecting their vision and brand in our work. Our priority is customer satisfaction, quality work and timely completion of projects. JMS did a great job repairing our ramparts and pilasters. Josh was very transparent and always wanting to update me and tour the site to explain things and review the work.
