This was second time I've used Cedar River for fence repairs. They are not inexpensive, but they do the appropriate utility locate, they are on time, do the work contracted to do. I like that they use the larger vertical posts as opposed to what most builders used.

Needing a replacement cedar fence , I made a phone call and the delightful, thorough, professional Mirissa showed up the next morning to take measurements. 3 hours later, I had an estimate. 10 days later, 4 pros descended on my property to build a fence in 2 days. (The stain color is my choice, done after the installation.) I'm happy.

Overall, I was very pleased with Cedar River Construction. I dealt primarily with Mirissa by phone and email. She was friendly, polite and very prompt at scheduling a site visit and providing an estimate in less than 48 hours.
Once I accepted the bid, I was on their schedule to start the project in less than 2 weeks. The crew was prompt and efficient and my whole project (200 feet of old fence demolished and removed and new fence/gates installed) was completed in less than 3 days.
The new fence looks amazing (see pictures)! I couldn't be happier with it. It was exactly as requested.

We had several bids and Cedar River Construction was by far the best. Their pricing was competitive, customer service was excellent and the crew was very informative, respectful and extremely hard working.
The crew arrived on time each day and always ensured they did not block my mailboxes with their trucks or trailers.
They removed the old fence quickly and dug the post holes for the new fence even quicker. All post holes were 2ft deep in the ground and they let the posts set over night. The next day they completed my fence project.

Horrible Job, see all reasons bellow:
- Many of the boards installed for the fence were missing nails.
- Several of the boards were put on top of each other and needed to be removed and replaced.
- Many of the post caps were split.
- Nails, cement chunks, staples, trash and metal wire clippings were left all over the yard.
- Found out from my neighbors later that they knew two of the guys of the 3 man crew as locals at home depo. They went to school with the guy a few years prior. This was disappointing considering the prices and promises of quality.
- Workers were not provided adequate tools

Tl;dr - Buyer beware - owner refused to correct issues that he admitted were his workers fault.
Our story - we recently hired this company to build a simple cutoff style fence - and because we have pets we requested the fence go all the way to the ground. Upon completion of the fence one entire side was anywhere from 1”-8” off the ground (see pictures attached). We called the owner to ask him to resolve the issue. Owner said they raised the fence off the ground to maximize the height - per the other neighbor (which neighbor says they never talked about). They never consulted us, never called

Steve was very responsive and professional over the phone, via email, and in person. During the quoting process he took the time to understand what we wanted and help make recommendations based on our yard and budget. During demo and construction days his staff was professional and they always reviewed what work they planned to do and validated the design before starting the work. They handled the more difficult rock wall section of the yard with ease and were done within a few days. Their price was competitive for the area, they used great materials, and the results are beautiful!

Cedar fence had sever damage due to the windstorm in January 2019. Cedar River Construction was one of the few companies to respond to us when we were asking for a quote. The new fence was constructed to meet the new HOA rules. Three workers removed the old fence and replaced and cemented in the new posts on the first day and completed the building of the fence the second day. Clean up was spotless and the workers were extremely courteous and knowledgeable. Thanks for a great job. I highly recommend this company.
