Over the course of 40 years, we have added and refined the services we offer to our clients. Today, we have a field-tested approach that we employ for jobs large and small. Urban Painting began as a family-run business. All six Urban brothers have painted professionally for the company at one time or another. Over the years, we have been fortunate to grow "the family" to include incredibly talented and dedicated partners. Our management staff, including key foremen, have been with the company an average of twenty years.
Our work and careers at Urban Painting are not just about individual accomplishment - we work as a team. I am appalled when a company believes that they can do whatever they want with no regard for anybody else. First off they pulled in to the local donut shop today and parked in the handicapped parking space. They could care less about me who is actually handicapped... Next all employees of this vehicle ( 5 or 6 total ) walked right in not wearing a mask. Totally not giving a crap about the fact that we are in the middle of a pandemic... What kind of company hires these type of people??? I watched them all file out of the donut shop and get into their truck all wearing their white Urban Painting

Urban Painting is in the process of resealing the decks in my apartment complex and so has required everyone put their deck furniture inside. It’s been two weeks since the process started and they have yet to finish just one building worth of decks. They were half way through resealing my deck on Friday, but stopped mid-process. This would be fine, however, I just found out they are not working during the week of thanksgiving, which means our deck furniture will have to stay inside over thanksgiving. How refreshing to experience service--professional, reliable, excellent service--when in these days notable service is too often a rarity. Urban Painting was contracted for a large project in a 16-unit condo community in which I was preparing a condo for sale. Every aspect of their work was provided timely and efficiently. Any additional requests were done willingly. Our condo association hired Urban Painting to refinish exteriors. Based on my experience of their work, they do a rushed, shoddy job, pay insufficient attention to detail, and drag their feet cleaning up the huge mess they leave behind afterwards. Even after taping off areas, reckless spewing of paint spackled doors, windows, railings, and decks. Many of their workers I've attempted to communicate with don't seem to understand English. So far, very unimpressed. Not recommended.

Our HOA contracted with Urban to paint all our townhomes. Very impressed. Everyone had Foreman Julio Reyes' cell phone number, as well as the Urban office number. The crew was very friendly and conscientious. Today I phoned Julio with my "punch list" (there's always something - these were minor: some paint drops on the pavers in my atrium and very small dabs of paint on two window screens, and a spot that I thought needed another coat). He asked if 20 minutes would be OK. Uh, yeah! Julio came with another painter. Cleaned up everything and even spotted a "holiday"

Our condo association hired Urban Painting to do the outsides of all the units in our tri-valley area community. Our condo association can be a real PIA (e.g., it took them 18 months (!!!) to review colors; they ultimately decided to just go with the colors that were already on the buildings), so I'm always a bit cautious when new work teams show up.

Incredibly professional people from the crew manager down to every member of the crew.
My condo assn contracted with this company to paint our condos. We got notices to take everything in off our decks/balconies by a certain date. So I did - all my many many potted plants and other outside "stuff."
And then it rained. For two weeks. While my relatively dirty (spiders, etc) outside stuff was inside.
When the sun returned, the crew came back. That second day - fearing they were working in a direction opposite my condo - I ran outside, bedhead and all, to plead my case to the crew manager

My experience with Urban Painting is that they don't meet my expectations, even when the job description and requirements are made clear in a contract. Urban will quote on the job, and then you'll never see them again. You'll quickly be dealing with third parties for woodwork and prep. I think they use they're "own" painters, because the painters do pretty good work. But, you'll have to review the contract with whatever team of carpenters is there, and when you bring a concern to them, they tell you they don't know because they're not prepped

Exceptional job painting our homes in the Monte Vista Development in Oakland.
Great attention paid to the details with the multiple colors and lines on the buildings, Exceptional eye for safety as they always set up barriers and flag off area that they are working.
Most importantly they are extremely professional and courteous to all residents and visitors.I highly recommend them!

Our HOA over the past 7 years has contracted for services by Urban Bros. painting for painting all 28 units, staining and coating all front doors, 23 decks with elastomeric surfaces being removed and replaced, staining each 5 years of 18 wooden decks. At all times Urban Bros. has been very professional in doing the above, with excellent products and employees, extremely well managed by Urban Bros. We have had approximately $125,000 of services provided by Urban Bros. during this period.

We have used Urban Bros many times and have always been impressed with the quality of their work, the customer care, and the great crew that they put on our properties. Wow, I cannot believe I am the first to write a review for this fantastic company. Urban Bros. Painting has been sevicing our property for yearsssss! I would recommend this company to anyone looking for a great, efficient, responsive contractor. They are very maticulous and professional and make my job so much easier as they handle all of the scheduling and posting of notices and dealing with the residents one on one. We do not have any complaints from residents and in fact they assist the residents with moving items from areas that need to be painted and go above and beyond what is expected
