Immediately upon graduating from high school, Bob joined the Army where he attended HVACR School, or refrigeration school. After completing his HVACR training, he was sent directly to Saudi Arabia and Iraq during Operation Desert Storm where he was able to implement his training in a camel spider-infested 140 degree environment while serving his country.
Bob is a decorated war veteran receiving the Army Commendation Medal for demonstrating heroism, meritorious service. After Bob's time with the military came to an end, he moved to Las Vegas where he would hone his HVAC skills in another warm climate environment. Having grown tired of the heat, Bob moved to, and worked in the HVAC field in Washington State until finally landing in Chico in 2004.

I called Bob's Air Repair for a 2nd opinion. My system was not coming on program times. They determined the system was working fine & probably thermostat. I was provided with options. I decided to manually do thermostat for a week & see if resolves issue. If it does then it confirms thermostat would need to be replaced. They weren't pushy in trying to get me to replace anything until they were sure it needed replacing. I really appreciated that!

When my AC went out during this week’s heat wave, I called the company that I purchased the unit from. They offered to come out a week later, but said that they would not touch a thermostat that they didn’t install. Since I have a Nest, that didn’t work for me, so I called Bob’s Air Repair, hoping for better service. Boy, did they come through! They sent a technician out within two hours, and he troubleshot it and fixed it on the spot! He was friendly and professional. I will be forever grateful to this company!

104 here yesterday and my A/C goes on the fritz! Uh oh...
I called Bobs Air Repair (my neighbor recommended) and they had someone out here the same day!
It was a pretty easy fix (so lucky) The nice young man took care of it quickly and efficiently. I am SO happy and impressed!! I will be a return customer.

We phoned Thursday noon about our air-conditioning. Scott arrived that evening to check it out. He explained, in detail, what had happened. We had a choice. He never pressured us on what to decide: a new system or refill the old see what would happen. Given the age of the system, we went with a new one. Bob arrived and assured us they had one in stock and it would be in place the next day, Friday. And it was! So just 24 hours from reporting to fitting!

My first experience with Bob's was approximately 2 1/2 years ago. It was a routine service check. The repair man informed me that I needed to replace a part ($250.00). I said no. I got two second opinions from other companies and learned that my a/c was in good working condition. Today my a/c is still in good working condition.
My second experience with Bob's was the day after Christmas. It was winter and it was very cold. My mother's thermostat broke. I tried to avoid calling Bob's but they were the only company I could get quickly. Bob's charged an extra $100

Our air conditioner chose to stop working on the hottest day of the year. When calling Bob's I was told he would have a repairman to our house within the same day. Two hours later David called and said he would arrive within the hour. David located the problem and replaced the faulty unit. We were very pleased with the service, will definitely use again if a situation arises.

If I could give no stars I would. I called to check when our part would be in to fix our a/c and their answer was simply "I don't know" when I asked her what she meant by "I don't know" she got an attitude with me and told me that's the answer she had. When I told her I didn't need an attitude she handed me to the other office lady who then told me that they didn't need to speak with me because I'm a tenant and not home owner. I asked for a simple timeline of when to expect them and in return they hung up on me and canceled coming out.

They're professional and polite on the phone, but the guy who came out struck me as so untrustworthy I didn't have him do the repair, despite the heat wave and the $145 fee just to come out and diagnose. He immediately began to criticize the previous AC repairman (different company) and warn me of all the things that could go wrong, though he had no idea what the guy did (and I've never had a problem with this other company). Then he proceeded to talk at me for a long time in techno-speak, ignoring my actual questions. The guy just kept talking. In my experience these two things

I was told I needed 2 new heaters because parts were no longer available. The cost was almost $7,000. I called AirArt and was told there was no part shortage but I did need anything at all, as my unit was working as it should.
I'm sure glad I called for a second opinion. It appears I am not the only one Bob wanted to sell new units.
GO ELSEWHERE, you will save many $$$.

They also pointed out a few things that needed repaired. I have used them twice after for tune-ups and they just located some burnt wires that were sure to result in a break down of my system. They are very courteous, efficient, and timely. Great business!

We were in the middle of a heat wave and last night our AC stopped working. I looked up HVAC repair companies and decided to contact Bob's Air Repair. I called last night to leave a message to request service.
I received a call this morning from Rita to arrange an appointment for this afternoon and indeed Doug came to our house today. Doug, a very friendly and knowledgeable technician, quickly found the problem and with parts on his truck, he had the AC working!
I highly recommend this company!

My wall unit furnace needed a new motor and fan blade. I thought these people were extremely nice and would do me right. They have been very polite the whole way however I have now found some details that I am disgusted by. Let me start by saying it took them quite awhile to find my part, I was OK with this. So, they finally got my part in April. By then I was not using the heater anymore so I did not try out the fan and motor after I installed it. I got to try it out last week and the bearings were defective, it grinded and made a terrible sound. They would not do anything to honor this, which

I am thankful they came out to service my AC condensing unit today. At a price of course... Which I understand, that is how service company's make their money.
But here are my peeves:
The tech was constantly on the phone with Bob trying to diagnose the problem. When I asked the tech about this, he said, " That's how Bob wants it-so no mistakes are made." I find that puzzling. After all, isn't the tech supposed to know what he's doing?
But my biggest peeve.... If Bob's Air Repair is going to state on their ads

I wish I would have read the reviews before I gave them a call. I gave them a call on a Thursday, and they told me they would be there that day. Later on I received a call from their office manager Rita, and she told me they couldn't make it until the next day. I was okay with it, thinking they would bump me up on their schedule. The next day I called them asking what time they were going to come since they gave me a time frame. I was told that they don't give time frames and they wouldn't make it out until the following Monday. Regardless I gave them the benefit of doubt, and had

The owner made a real effort to come to my house and talk to me. He is aware that he can't "fix" what happened but seemed sincerely upset as to what happened. To me it shows that this was only a mistake and not a systemic problem. I suspect with an owner who is that hands-on and involved with his business that this will never happen again. Especially with my tech.
