A&J Landscape Services LLC is a Limited Liability Company located through South Hadley, MA to Springfield MA. We are a small family owned and operated landscaping, hardscape services & snow removal business. We have over 15 years of experience in Landscaping, Construction, Site Work, Snow Removal, Ice Control, Customer Service & Business Management.
This is a question we get frequently, so we've decided to post the pros & cons of using mulch & the pros & cons of using stone. Also, we've included the pros & cons in using different size stones. Mulch adds nutrients to your soil as it breaks down, so you don't need to buy plant food and nutreints each season.
At this location we had to demo an existing retaining wall and set of stairs that were deteriorating. We brought everything down to the ground, built it back up with loam and built a new retaining wall. The first layer of blocks are always crucial. You have to make sure you have base gravel, stone and piping for drainage and make sure you are level.
A&J Landscape Services has been maintaining our commercial property for the last few months. Arthur is very conscientious and has taken care of our needs with no issues. A&J Landscape Services did a great job. Jessica came out the afternoon I called to estimate the project, she gave me a very reasonable quote.

Hired A&J Landscaping Services to do the landscaping in the front of our house and we are very happy with the way it looks. They always communicated with us with delays on the start date due to all the rain we had. They were here when they said they would be here and finished when they said they would. We hired A&J to redesign and refurbish our existing landscaping, fill in the "hole" from an above ground pool we had removed, and to install some new fencing. Our experience with them was exceptional from planning to execution. They gave us a fair price and completed the projects in a timely manner. Communication with them was excellent and their crew was respectful of our property. They did the little things. The best compliment I can give is that I would recommend their services to friends and family.

I hired A&J Landscape Service of South Hadley to do routine gutter and leaf maintenance last year. Arthur did a fantastic job, he worked tirelessly in horrible weather and even came back the next day to clean up after the storm. I decided to hire them again to put in a small patio and clean up the pool steps and create a walkway. He along with his crew did an amazing job, I could not be happier with their work. I appreciate their communication skills, efficiency and honesty. When I call, Jessica always gets right back and lets us know when they will arrive. I will continue to use their services
