Services
Our projects include refinishing existing floors (custom stains) and installing new prefinished or unfinished floors. Products include domestic and exotic species, solid and engineered wood flooring, custom inlays and borders. We use traditional Swedish finish and non-toxic waterborne finishes. If your project requirements include sound attenuation or radiant heat, we can recommend and install state-of-the-art products.
Greater Seattle Floors is Robbins Sport Surfaces authorized dealer/installer in the Pacific Northwest for both wood and synthetic flooring. Our installation, sanding and finish crews are certified by Robbins and BonaKemi. Robbins' diverse product lines include wood and synthetic athletic flooring systems, base molding (rubber and aluminum), thresholds and volleyball/badminton inserts and cover plates.
Earlier this year we installed 1/2"x4"x2-12' African Celtis Natural Medium Engineered, Prefinished flooring with matching treads and risers at a home in Kirkland. Each month Robbins Sport Surfaces picks a recently finished facility to highlight on their social media outlets. The featured facility is also entered as a finalist for the Sports Surface of the Year.

I spent a decent amount of time on the phone discussing our project plans with the agent, Aaron. Then he came to my home and was there for 90 minutes or more while I showed him what we were wanting done in detail (carpet, kitchen flooring, countertops, bathroom tiling among other things). Later that week I got an email saying they didn't have time for my project. It was unclear why he couldn't have said that at the outset and not wasted my time. Very disappointing.

After a basement flood and carpet extraction, I went with Greater Seattle Floors to put new vinyl in. It looks great. Of the three firms who bid the job, Greater Seattle floors was not only the cheapest, but also the quickest, most responsive, and helpful. I appreciated their salesman Jon working with me to specify the job. My two other bidders raised some fairly random issues, but Jon's attitude was pretty much "no problem for us." Would definitely work with them again. Thanks.

My husband is a general contractor who specializes in high end homes and remodels. He never, ever gives praise to anyone.
For the first time, as long as I've known him (30 years) he mentioned GSF and the job they did on our clients shower walls and floor. He actually used the word "perfection". He said "It is a relief to know that when Greater Seattle Floors comes in to our job site to complete a tile or flooring job that I don't have to worry about them or babysit. I know that the job will come out perfect. You don't know what a relief that is to know that the work

We purchased a new home in 2004, but the white maple floors had suffered from water damage during construction and were not in great shape when we bought the house. They had severe cupping and major gaps between floor boards, but we couldn't afford to refinish them when we bought the house. Finally, 12 years of sun damage plus wear and tear later, we finally decided to restore the floors to their former glory. We moved a wall opening in our home which revealed a 24"x5" gap in our wood floors. We called upwards of 15 flooring contractors in search of someone willing to execute this small patch and finish job and stirred up very few responses, most of which were exorbitantly expensive. Regan with Greater Seattle Floors came through with a very reasonable "time & materials" quote and had a craftsman at our house within the week. We were thrilled with the price, the responsiveness, and the end result.

On the advice from my interior designer, I contracted GSF for a small hardwood installation job. The floor was installed and is fine. However, they forgot one piece and it took close to three months to resolve this issue. I have to say, I'm very underwhelmed with the customer service I received (or didn't). I had to follow up REPEATEDLY with the junior person in charge of scheduling. I had to ask all the question. No information was provided that I didn't pull out of her. She ended up getting snippy in her emails at the end when I'm trying to get clarity because the information

GSF just completed a hardwood project in our little 2-bedroom condo. Difficult job, bamboo over electric on old sagging concrete, to be done while we still lived there.
They researched materials with the manufacturer to make sure all the right choices and layering of materials were being made to handle the heat and meet warranty requirements, keep things absolutely flat, and minimize noise issues for neighbors below.
