I am a private pilot and have been flying since I was 16 years old. I also love art of all kinds and enjoy painting water color and acrylic when I get the chance. We Live on the same property as the business with our 5 kids, 3 cats and 16 chickens. Life is good! Debra Kumar moved to Kentucky from West Virginia in 1981.
Martin Thomas, of Landscape Alternatives, Inc., took my boring back yard and made it into the European garden I saw in my mind. Now I have interesting changes of levels in this garden and beautiful boxwoods, plus a very useful irrigation system. Lovely trees filter the light and Arborvitae were added to create green walls.

I am very happy with the way our project turned out. We replaced rotten railroad ties with engineered stone, and had our parking area levelled and covered with stone. Martin's crew completed the work quickly and professionally. They even cleaned up the job site each day before leaving. We plan to have them come back to do more work for us in the spring.

I couldnot be more pleased with the way the Landscape Alternative crew performed every day of our project as well as the finished result. The craftmanship and focus to detail were exceptional. They also cleaned the worksite every day prior to depature to keep everything as neat and tidy as possible. They installed paver walkways and steps from from our driveway to a walkout basement patio as well as new plantings. I have consistently received outstanding service from this company. Courtesy and service on site is excellent and highly professional. This morning was an excellent illustration of this quality. We were to have a load of mulch delivered. When driver Pedro Campos arrived with the load and called me, as instructed, I was not able to answer. Nonetheless, Mr Campos deposited the load in exactly the right place off my driveway and when I was able to get outside, everything pertaining to the delivery was exactly what I would have wanted. I really appreciate Mr Campos's initiative. Thank you.

Got hired on Maintenance And the agreement on my interview day was $16 an hour, Then I was told No it was Not it was $14.50 And then when I did Go to work they're all the one me to do weedeat, then when I got my paycheck they only paid me $ 13.50 an hour , Never the less if you do get hired on their make sure you get it in writing on how much you are going to get paid and what job you are going to be doing , And also that first day that I worked We didn't even get to take a lunch break until 2:10 pm the temp. Outside was 95% and the feel like temp. Was 100 , poor business.

We completed a large scale project that included a new stone patio, fireplace, wall, drainage and a tremendous amount of landscaping. We worked with Martin from the start on planning, and he was available throughout the progress for consultation on this extensive project. The crew was wonderful, hard-working, reliable and very skilled. There were a few bumps along the way (not unexpected with a project this scale), but Martin worked with us to resolve things expediently and satisfactorily. We could not be more pleased with the result- our yard is now a new living space, love the fireplace and patio

Several years ago I began purchasing all my trees and shrubbery from Landscape Alternatives after meeting Martin Thomas at a chamber of commerce meeting in Georgetown. Martin's crew always does a tremendous job from start to finish. About a year ago I had Landscape Alternatives begin treating my lawn to obtain the results I had been trying to get on my own for several years. In just one season of treatments the appearance of my yard has been transformed for the better saving me money and time. The next step will be to have the Landscape Alternatives team construct the patio that Martin has designed

My husband and I have been very pleased with the planning and implementation of six different spaces on our property. This included pavers, stone edging, shrubbery, trees and various plants, all mature,beautiful and healthy.
As you can imagine, the project took 3 days to complete and the crew was always prompt , professional and polite. Martin was always available for communication , follow-up care instructions were provided and the cost was quite reasonable .
