One of the bushes they installed last year died and they replaced it. This year the bushes all bloomed for the first time, and the replacement was the wrong color; it didn't match the others. When I notified Steve, he sent a guy out to put in the correct bush within a couple of days.

Clark's Landscaping (Clark's Nurseries then) landscaped our first house back in the mid-eighties. Dan was our designer and Dave was the foreman on the job. Imagine our surprise when we called them to landscape our new home and Dan again was our designer and Dave was our foreman on the job! The guys did a great job. It really looks fantastic and I highly recommend them to anyone. One bush died a few months after it was planted but it was replaced under warranty.

Terrible service. Job came in 25% higher than the quote and we ended up with only about 70% completion of work that was quoted. Zero attention to detail, billing has been a complete nightmare as they up charged all over the place and even though we had almost 2 dozen less trees and plants installed than quoted they took none of that off the quote and added bits and pieces all over. Things that we were told to be normal parts of the job (like carefully handling the sprinklers) were a mess and we were again charged and up charged. In the end we were slammed with a $12k plus bill for a landscape cleanup

Well I can't say much about their landscaping abilities. They cancelled my appointment with the "designer" the day prior saying he was "still up north". We rescheduled to the next week so that he could tell me not to put a patio where we wanted to because it was too far from the house and we wouldn't use it. (we have a small city lot)
The guy finally e-mailed me back 10 days later saying:
"Thanks for having us look at your landscape project.
Unfortunately, we will not be able to bid on this project.
I hope it all comes together well for you." -Chuck

Not good. Had them do backyard and deck late last fall. Misquotes, charged for plants that weren't installed, 7 months later and Cedar decking has issues. Called several times to ask them to address problems. No resolutions. I had used them years ago and had great service, but things have changed-for the worse.

It's been two years since my encounter with Clarks. About half the plants they installed have died in my yard, the evergreen tree they planted was defective from the get go..they told me it would be "fine"...however, after 2 years it's still as bad as ever. I hired a different company to move it to the back yard out of sight. The paint on my gate they installed continues to flake off. However the gate is well built (subcontracted). As you've read, communication is ridiculous. Good job on the paved walkway but they subcontracted this work. I hate to write negative reviews but I would never hire
