Titan Industrial Heating Systems
At Titan Industrial Heating Systems we have designed and built custom industrial fluid heating systems for over 30 years. Our specialties include immersion heaters for the metal finishing industry, industrial air heating systems, gas burners, hot-oil-reflow systems for printed circuits, control panels for digital temperature readout and liquid level controls on plating tanks, complete ovens for up to 1000 degrees Fahrenheit (537 degrees Celsius) and serpentine or grid steam coils for heating tanks.

Titan Industrial Heating Systems staff can repair wire wound (aka resistance coil) heating elements for Proheco / Proheatco with original ceramics, metallic heating elements for Recco Furnaces and many other brand products. Our custom built and designed immersion tank heaters (electric or gas) are mostly used for chemical processing like electroless nickel plating, metal finishing and the printed circuit board processing industries.
Services
Electric Immersion Heaters consist of tubular heating elements immersed into the fluid. Immersion heaters are very efficient and cost effective since all energy that is generated is dissipated directly into the medium which is being heated. Electric Immersion Heaters are used to heat fluids such as water, oil, and chemical solutions, electro-plating and salt solutions.
Over-the-side electric immersion heaters are widely used in the metal finishing industry in plating tanks due to their convenience at lesser cost when compared to a Bottom or L-shaped Electric Immersion Heater. Another advantage is the chemical solution doesn't need to be drained to change heaters like with screw plug or flanged immersion heaters.
L-shaped Immersion Heaters (also called Bottom Immersion Heaters) are used in higher temperature (above 150degF) which have increased evaporation rates. The advantage of an L-shaped Immersion Heater (compared to the Over the side Immersion Heater) is the better heat distribution throughout the tank due to the natural buoyancy of fluids and there is less chance of exposure to air which would cause premature burn-out of the immersion heater.
Flanged Immersion Heaters consist of "U" shaped tubular elements. We weld them to flanges from two and half inches to twenty-four inches. An alternative to flange immersion heaters are L-shaped or bottom immersion heaters or over the side immersion heaters and for lower wattage requirements we offer screw plug immersion heaters.
For acidic solutions, quartz or PTFE (Teflon) coated immersion heaters are used. Quartz heaters are resisting pH solutions from 0 to 7, except Hyrdrofluoric acids and caustics. For Hydrofluoric acids of less than 9% concentration we recommend PTFE coated immersion heaters. Many nickel and chrome plating tanks have quartz heaters installed because for this application, they're more economic than PTFE coated heaters, which we also manufacture.
