Services
Having grown up in Massachusetts, and spending summers in the lakes region of New Hampshire, Ryan has been immersed in varied New England Landscapes from a young age. After various jobs in the farming and landscape industry Ryan realized his passion for plants and enrolled out of high school at the Stockbridge School of Agriculture, the oldest school of agriculture and landscape design in the country.

Working with Chestnut Grove Design Group was extremely positive for us and has led us to return to them a second time. After understanding what we wanted (and even helping my wife and I understand what we wanted!) they pulled together every detail in our interior design project, and then a second time in a landscaping project. I worked with Ryan Wikman, landscape designer and owner of Chestnut Grove Design Group, this fall to remodel my backyard. The issue was a 2-tiered garden with a grassy slope just past a retaining wall, too steep to comfortably reach the upper level. Ryan came with recommendations from my real estate agent and when we met and talked about my ideas - turning the slope into beds filled with small shrubs and perennials and installing organic-looking steps to lead up to the upper part of my garden - he immediately 'got' what I was looking for.
