Hartwells Nursery has been Lewisvilles' Nursery and Landscape service for over 50 years. Started by Ken Hartwell in 1964 under the Name 'Lewisville Garden Center, we have been in the same location for the entire time. We have done work, in some cases for three generations of the same famlies. Hartwells is a full service nursery open the the public year around.

This is where I go to relax, have my interest piqued, get the answer to all my gardening questions, and scoop up plants, from well-loved to exotic to home-grown. I can borrow or donate pots, get any custom size of planting mix, and find native plants, yard art, and seasonal color. I might enjoy the slick appearance of Galloway's, but I trust the authenticity and honesty of Hartwell's. Appreciate it when Scott says, "What you're looking for, won't grow around here."

Being new to town, we shopped a number of nurseries before we found Hartwell’s. The staff at Hartwell’s is knowledgeable and enthusiastic about their jobs. We checked prices at the big box stores and found the prices at Hartwell’s to be as good or better. Customer service was terrific. After a couple of visits and design discussions, we called ahead with our final order. They had it all ready and waiting for us. The guys just planted the trees and did a great job FAST. They even spent time advising us about pruning and care for trees already in our yard.
