Progressive Contracting, Inc. dba No Name Painters firmly believes all steps in preparation are key to a successful paint job. Each crew will operate out of a work vehicle or a trailer. Equipment will be stored in the trailer/vehicle at the end of each day. All ladders will be stacked in the back or on the side of the house.
Preparation includes covering grounds, decks, roofs, and windows with drop cloths and protective coverings. The crew will scrape away all loose paint and caulk from peeling surfaces. Caulking is applied to all previously caulked surfaces and designated new surfaces. Vulkem sealant is the sealer preferred for all window and door seals.
We use acrylic caulks for fill work and flat surfaces. Oil primers are used for most exterior surfaces, but some acrylic primers are used for composite and metal surfaces. The finish coats are applied when all prep work is completed and dry. We use an assortment of exterior products from Benjamin Moore, PPG Pittsburgh Paints and Sherwin Williams.

Had a good experience with them working through our contractor, as a sub. Here's an idea of the process:
Initial consultation: Mary called me back quickly and was here the next day. She did say she'd have the quote to me that evening or the next day-- it was a few days later, though.
As soon as we had the contract agreed and half payment made, she came out to discuss paint with me. We were a pretty easy client, as I had sent her what we had been thinking about. She brought those colors with some similar suggestions, and we figured out quickly what walls would be what, and she put sticky

I have used this reliable and on time company for several jobs large and small over the last 20 years. I have always been impressed with their ability to start and deliver the work I contract for on time every time. Their crews are very skilled and very nice people to boot. I am a picky customer and when I point out what I think needs to be perfected it gets done without any problems or questions. Estimates are delivered within 2 weeks of the visit to the home and they are done right. Any changes that are made are due to my add ons not changes from the company.

Seems this business has ongoing issues w lack of reliability. Called for an estimate, was impressed someone actually answered and I didn't have to leave a voicemail. Woman came out pretty quickly to give me an estimate, said I'd hear back in a few days. Nothing. I called them, no answer, no response. I emailed. Nothing. Pretty odd business practice if you ask me.

I am extremely disappointed, even though, in the past, this company did a good job. They left things undone and I ad to fuss at them to get the job completed. To compound my misery, the owner called be an hour after the last worker left wanting immediate payment. This expectation was not included in the contract (I am very timely with my payments, BTW).

I'm not sure how Angie dishes out these service awards but they don't deserve a super service award. We called on a medium sized project to be completed and within a week the owner came to give us an estimate (took no notes). I called ten days later since no one had called back with an estimate and talked to a woman who said she would give the message to the owner (I believe she did). Well, that was roughly six weeks ago and no one from no name painters has ever called to even check if we were still interested in having the work done. Not to mention that an estimate was never completed

Worst snowplowing service ever. Time after time we get billed for work that isn't done. When we first set this up last December, it took 5 calls. We were told several times that "someone will call tomorrow," but it took a full week before anyone bothered. It was a very busy time for them (it was snowing like crazy), but don't say you'll return a call the next day if you know full well you're not going to.
