That Yard Guy LLC is a licensed, bonded, and insured landscaping business based out of Sequim, Washington. Adam Piceno started the business in August of 2014 and set out to improve existing and soon to be landscapes by introducing sustainable practices. We are members of the Washington State Nursery and Landscaping Association (WSNLA) and continue to work towards an education in Horticulture.
Prior to the Establishment of That Yard Guy LLC, Adam maintained golf courses for three and a half years in Northern California. This is where he became passionate about turf management and later applying the same principles of professionalism and excellence to residential and commercial properties.
Starting out, lawn care was the priority of That Yard Guy LLC. It only took a couple months of operating the business before realizing how important plant health is and that there is a need to learn and teach others that importance as well. This sent us on a journey to study and reach out to others in the green industry.

If you apply bark/mulch in the spring, you can help prevent weeds from growing in your landscape. How Is This Possible? In the winter the temperatures drop below germination temperatures. This allows the weed seeds to stay dormant from the previous season and by covering the weed seeds before they germinate, you help discourage their growth.
We only use certified organic fertilizers. It does not harm the environment, animals, or people. In fact we try to build the micro-organisms in the soil and assist the plants to be healthier by encouraging micorrhizae. Micorrhizae is a beneficial fungi that increases the plants ability to process food.
Landscapes are like works of art; the attention to detail That Yard Guy provides not only captivates the eye but also makes sure the homeowner's needs are met in a practical manner. Hardscapes such as retaining walls, pathways and patios are an integral part of any landscape aiding in not only aesthetics but also function.

We called Adam and asked if we could meet with him to develop a plan for landscaping our property, as we had just finished putting our house on it. Adam met with us and together we created a landscaping plan. We shared our ideas with him and he gave us many more ideas to consider. Adam is easy to talk to, he's a good listener, and he is very knowledgeable. Once we received what we felt was a very fair bid, we hired Adam. Adam responded promptly to my request for an estimate on my very neglected acre- for a very fair price his crew mowed, weed whacked and hauled off the cuttings. I wanted to care for part of the work myself and that was easily negotiated. In a few months they will be returning to prune fruit trees. Polite, thorough and professional service, worked through into the dark of rainy winter days. Awesome!

I talked with them about doing the landscaping around my new manufactured home. It was a hard decision but decided to go with a different company. I did find it easy to discuss my ideas and get some input where I wasn't sure exactly what I wanted. While I decided to use another company, I thought I'd leave a review.

Quality work at a reasonable price. So many of these yard maintenance companies are unreliable, and too expensive on top of that. The few times that I have needed to contact Adam and his team he responded immediately and resolved the issue right away. I tried a a lot of different companies and I finally found a good one. This guy cares about making sure his clients are happy!!
