It took me over a year to find a contractor who was: willing to take on a complicated hillside home exterior repair, was professional, provided quotes, in writing, and who didn't seem like a scammer. But at the end of that process, it was Ran at LA Remodeling who fit the bill.
To back up slightly, I have a hillside home, with the house perched precariously over a gnarly, unusual hill. Had a truly great experience with Tal and Ran, who just completed converting my crawlspace/basement into an ADU (studio with new bathroom and kitchen). Could trust them to manage everything but they were also super communicative and accessible and asked questions and talked design details through before doing the work. Can't wait to work with them again and have been recommending them to others already!

Wrote a tip that they are over priced and yelp decided to remove it. Anyway my experience with them was horrible. Overall, they had the worst attitude and seemed like they didn't want to help me with my specific needs. They wanted to have it their way to essentially charge the most.
Hope yelp doesn't remove this too.

They were quick to respond to our inquiry and was able to book an estimate within the same week. Interaction with Tal was pleasant and he offered some great idea and advice for our remodel. Though we went with another contractor, we greatly appreciated their time and the quote provided was resonable. Will definitely consider them again if we decide to do any additional remodel.

Ran did a wonderful job with our bathroom remodel. Ran and his team provided us with a reasonable estimate for the job, which is what led us to use this company in the first place. Over the course of the project Ran was very responsive to all our questions/concerns and he was very patient with us while we were flip flopping between decisions. When my husband and I decided to install a giant glass piece instead of tiles, Ran was more than willing to accommodate our changes and he was very patient while we dealt with our glass provider. We had Moses on-site doing the actual labor and he did a spectacular

My dad needed some work done on his patio. He had an existing deck which ended up having to be replaced. Instead of the deck we went with patio work. That was the first sign that we chose the right company. My dad kept changing his mind and we had to put this company on ice until he decided. Ran, (pronounced Ron) did not miss a beat. He was understanding, patient and just great about the whole thing. We contacted L.A. Remodeling shortly after purchasing our 1952 mid-century modern house in Glendale. Yaniv came over to give an estimate. It was very reasonable for the work - which was basically taking the interior down to its bare bones and rebuilding it back again with detail and style.

These guys are real pros! And honest. I needed a contractor bad and was in an emergency situation with a city building permit problem. They did the work and brought everything up to code and impressed the inspector. They had an opportunity to charge me a lot, but instead showed me how to save money. I highly recommend them!

I don't understand the great reviews. My first appointment got canceled just hours before on a rainy day. We rescheduled and the person that came out for an estimate was terrible. Unorganized and after 2 weeks I haven't gotten any kind of quote or follow up. Terribly unprofessional!

We live in an old house that desperately needs updating and yours-truly gets to be the foreman (forewoman?). LA Remodeling came out to give me a quote on updating the first room we chose to do. The quote was so unreasonably high, we ran it by a contractor friend who said the following: This company is either so busy they don't need to do a small job so they bid it high. Or, they think you're a total idiot.

My dad and I wanted to remodel out kitchen area. L. . Remodeling came with samples and helped us create the style of the kitchen that we liked. I wish my mom was alive. she would be happy to design our kitchen. Now I am happy to help my dad with the remodels. They provided great service and a reasonable price. Everything was done on time.

Called them up and scheduled a guy to come over and look at the scope of the work needed. I had 18 windows and 2 French doors needing installing. Not to mention a little stucco repair and a full paint of the house. I was impressed how quickly they came over to have a look. I figured they heard a big job over the phone so let's secure this sucker ASAP. Guy came over and wrote down a few things and said he'd get back to me. But after that, nothing. Total radio silence. Is business that good that you can just dismiss a $30,000 job?

Tal and L.A. Remodeling Co. are the best. I bought a condo in downtown LA and wanted to renovate everything. Tal and his team helped me to completely redo my kitchen (custom cabinets, backsplash, island, etc.) and two bathrooms (marble countertops, new tiles, glass shower/bathtub doors, etc.). They also took care of all the electrical and plumbing aspects (dimmers in bathrooms are a MUST!).
Tal was very professional, honest, and responsive. We were in touch almost every day and he kept me up to date on the status of everything. The renovation process was very long and there were unexpected

We explained our vision and he gave suggestions without trying to sell us on crap we didn't want. Also, LA Remodeling got great Yelp reviews and quoted us a price that was competitive compared to other companies, but they tried harder than others to work within our financial constraints.

I cannot say enough good things about LA Remodeling particularly working with Tal and his crew of craftsmen. I had a very old kitchen that was in serious need of a complete gut and overhaul. I called and made an appointment with Yaniv and he showed up exactly when he said he would, took the time to listen to what I needed done, and provided me with a very competitive estimate. Once construction started Tal made sure I knew what was going on each day and came by to inspect the work as each phase was competed. He has a very sharp eye for anything that isn't done to his particular satisfaction

We had some major leaks in our sunroom and after several unsuccessful repair attempts (including a complete drywall and insulation replacement) by various handymen and contractors, we found L.A. Remodeling on Yelp.
I can kind of sympathize with some of the complaints by other Yelpers. There were certainly things that annoyed me. But compared to the absolute horror we've encountered working with OTHER contractors (I suspect at least one of them was unlicensed) and handymen, Tal and his crew did a fantastic job (taking apart the deck to waterproof, thus preventing the water from seeping into

I was in an emergency situation frantically browsing YELP for a recommendation. I called Mr. Fix after a disaster was made in my kitchen and I needed a real FIX! I talked to Tal and he said he would be right over to take a look. And he was! He said he would send me an estimate in 3 days and he did! He brought Yaniv and his crew out and we talked about what we wanted to have happened and they began work! They were respectful of my space and life and were prompt and professional. All work was inspected thoroughly and finished products that did not meet our exact expectations were replaced or improved
