In 1948, Wilbur Hartzell founded a roof cleaning company in the Hollywood, FL area. By the early 1950's business expanded to include roof paint manufacturing. Ed Holman began working for the growing company in the early '70's, and in 1976 took over operations of the painting division. Ed's brother, George, joined Hartzell as General Manager.
Together they expanded operations to include residential and commercial painting, weatherproofing and specialty coatings. In response to our customers' ongoing maintenance needs, in 1992 Hartzell launched its Community Beautification Program. This program involves a long-term commitment, typically seven to ten years, and enables Hartzell to maintain the prestigious appearance of your community while taking your budget planning into consideration.

Hartzell is painting my complex with some of the most unprofessional and Rudest individuals I have ever seen and dealt with. I had a brand new central AC installed last year and it now has paint all over it and when I asked the supervisor what he was going to do about it he said nothing he couldn’t cover it up so it is what it is when the paint drips the paint drips. I had to move my car away from the building but they manage to still get overspray on my vehicle and I’m not the only one in the complex to have this problem. They missed some of the trim painting around the doors and walkway banisters

They were recommended by a neighbor so we decided to go with them. Unfortunately, we were not pleased with their work. The person they sent out to paint our house did not speak English and did not seem to be part of the company. They were not wearing any type of uniform and the van was not marked with the company. We spoke with the gentlemen who had come out to give us a quote and said he would come out to check up on the job, he never did. They had an accident with the paint where it spilled on our grass, sidewalk, and landscaping. They send out two other unprofessional gentlemen that did not

We chose Hartzell Painting upon the great feedback from our neighbors as they had painted several houses and all mailboxes in our community. The gentleman that handled our house exterior paint job, Osious, was conscientious to call me each morning to update me on the changing plan during the rainy week. He was very professional, considerately answered our questions and did the job beautifully. I highly recommend Osious and Hartzell Painting.

I'm the president of our HOA consisting of 10 attached townhomes. Hartzell was very professional and a good value. They delivered everything they promised and were very responsive to any issues that arose. The job started on time and was completed in the time frame they communicated. I would recommend them and plan on using them again in the future.

I used Hartzell Painting to paint and remove the stone on the exterior of my home. During the stone removal, 2 shutter supports were removed and "hidden" under my front porch behind my plants so they were definitely and intentionally "placed" there (this is about 4 feet away from the windows they were on). I found them when doing my spring gardening. I contacted Chuck at Hartzell to come back to re-install and was told that shutters were not included in my contract. These are not shutters but supports that are affixed to my home. To paint them and reinstall them would not take much time as we are

Excellent exterior painting work from start to finish by Hartzell, which appeared to be a full service company. No shortcuts, no rush jobs. Where as other painters would start painting immediately, Hartzell pressure cleaned the entire condo complex where I live. The precision and skillful painters went to work painting the next day using various paint application equipment and methods, each one best suited for the specific area of the building. Great attention to detail was demonstrated and was ongoing. What caught my attention, and was new to me, is that Hartzell actually appoints and retains

I cannot rave enough about the work that Hartzell has done for us in painting and giving new life to our shopping centers. They are so professional, so accommodating, so full of good insights and helpful advice...given that they've been in the business for 70 years...although I don't think that the same painter that was up on a ladder then is still doing it today! They have learned a lot over that time and they pass it on to insure really high quality work, which they stand behind. What you do is important...who you do it with is just as important, so in addition to excellent work, they are staffed

Amazing experience with Hartzell, and with job manager Leo Citrangulo. They were professional, responsive, best price by far, and the work was done really well. Leo went above and beyond to make certain all the details were right, and that I was happy with everything. The painter Romeo was awesome too. I wish every business interaction was as enjoyable as this one. Keep up the great work.
