Why is my floor crowning? Crowning is usually caused when flooring is sanded when the floor is in a cupped condition. If the floor is pre-finished while in a cupped state when the floor re-accumulates the edges of the boards hard bear sanded off which leaves the center of the board thicker than the edges.

I work for a moving company, and they did a proposal for a wood floor repair to one of our customers' wood floor. I called several times trying to get clarification, as the proposal was incredibly vague about what they would be repairing. I was told my information just got "put to the side" and that the owner (John) just didn't call me back. I emailed again last week looking for a simple clarification of where the damage was, and got a reply stating that he is no longer interested in the job. I didn't even want to authorize the repairs, I simply wanted to know where the damage was located. I have

Excellent experience from beginning to end! I couldn't be more pleased with their customer service or the quality of their work. My floors are absolutely beautiful and are the exact gray stain color I wanted.....which, as I learned the hard way, is not something every flooring contractor in Charleston knows how to achieve. Dave knows his products and how to mix and blend to achieve any color desired. I highly recommend this company for any flooring needs.

I used Palmetto Wood Floors when we were building our home and I absolutely love my floors! The staff was very helpful and fun to work with. Since I was unsure about the color of stain I wanted to use, Dave actually applied 3 color choices for me to choose from. I went medium brown - not too light and not too dark and they turned out perfect! I can't stress enough how easy these floors are to care for and they don't show dirt because of the stain color! In my book, Palmetto Wood Floors is the place to go for wood flooring!

Sorry Mr. Christophe for the bad experience you had. As this would not be our policy (we don't often work on Saturdays unless our client needs or would we consider a job of your size to not be big enough) I had to look into what might of happened. Turns out we have no record of even giving you a bid let alone attempting to do work for you and not doing it. So my only explanation for this is that there is another Palmetto Flooring Co. in the area and you must have confused us with them.

Everything started out well, they came out to my house, reviewed the project and gave me a detailed quote. However, everything went down hill after that.
Scheduling the installation was the first problem, as they would only do it on Saturdays and getting a hold of them to schedule was tough. Second, the installers delayed the installation 2 different times. The second time I was not even notified that they were delaying it, they just didn't show up. At this point I could not get a reschedule and they were delaying my whole project so I just decided to move on to another installer.
I believe they
