Craig then mastered his trade and began his own company in the late 70's. During his more than 30 years of experience, Craig Stevens has designed, developed and constructed in excess of 1500 additions in Illinois. His specialization, has given him an intimate knowledge of local permit requirements, municipal cooperation and architecture, as well as every aspect of construction.

Yes, we are licensed, bonded and insured in every town where we work. CAS also provides worker's comp and liability insurance for all of our employees, unlike some other contractors. This protects our workers and it also protects the homeowners they work for from getting sued. With unlicensed contractors, you are responsible for medical and time loss costs for employees injured while working on your project.

I called CAS construction to get a quote on our home expansion. I brought our architectural plans to Craig's house per his request. I handed them to him, he said he would get a quote back to me. After 2 months, no response from Craig, I called and left a couple messages that im still waiting for a quote. After an additional few weeks of no returned call or response of any kind, I got the message loud and clear that he had no intention of getting back to me, nor was he interested in our project. It would have been nice if he had the integrity to at least return my calls, or say he was not interested

As a growing young family we decided to put a second story addition on our existing home. We called Craig out and we signed a contract and gave him 6k to start the project. We were paying cash for our project. The only thing we received for that 6k was drawings. BEWARE this man after a signed contract went and upped our price by 20k!!! He recommended we wait until lumber prices went down. Well, we have 5 kids and a house in our neighborhood became available and we decided to move instead of building up. We contacted Craig who refuses to give us any of our money back. He said he ordered windows

I had CAS frame my addition. He was very helpful and reasonable with pricing. He sticks to contracts and agreements. He did come over after a bad rain and checked on making sure that nothing was moldy or ruined. I've seen multiple houses that they have done and all turn out great.

Craig is fair and honest, does quality work and has valuable knowledge and experience in construction. I have used him numerous times for projects and he always provides excellent service and top notch work. I definitely would recommend Craig!

I cancelled my project with Craig at CAS Construction in March due to the unknown factors surrounding COVID. I asked for my deposit back since no work was performed per the contract and Craig has yet to return my deposit.
He’s made excuses as to why he thinks he’s entitled to keep it, but the contract says nothing about forfeiting the deposit.
I would not recommend doing business with this man since he clearly has not acted in a professional manner.

We used CAS Construction for numerous projects ranging in size and complexity in the new home we recently purchased and could not be more satisfied with their service. CAS Construction came highly recommended to us by a coworker, and we had no prior affiliation with them. We could not have been happier with how it all worked out. Craig, the owner, is great to work with and his crew was awesome! They were very efficient, cost effective and did wonderful work! We felt they were trustworthy and had our best interests and budget in mind during the whole project. I could not recommend them more highly
