This is a small project I did in between the Scottsdale Senior Center and the Red Rock Ranger Station. Not much self performed work here except the usual concrete work. We pulled off the job at the completion of the structure as there was a long lead time on the exterior sheathing to match the existing structure.
I began this project as the field superintendent, laying out the buildings, placing the foundations and pouring the slabs on grade. A couple of months into the project, I was asked to assume the role of onsite Project Manager. From day one on this project it was apparent that this was going to be a challenge.
This project was new construction from the ground level; $1.7M of the budget was for the excavation and paving alone and included rock blasting during the site excavation and during trenching for the site utilities. I was involved with this project pretty much from the start although I did miss out on some of the retaining wall construction before I was assigned to it.

If I had only done a final “walk-through” before I closed on a Greenehaven purchase that the seller hired Rankin to modify-improve? to meet requirements. The work was poor to say the least. As little funds and thought were put into it as possible and I am positive that it was a "take the money and run" situation. I would have walked away before signing if I had seen the pitiful workmanship. I ended up bringing quality people from Tucson, AZ to bring it up to quality!!! I would NOT recommend.
