Frank called before the appointment to let me know he could come early. I was glad. When he arrived, he introduced himself and explained the processes to evaluate our garage door. My door broke a spring. John was prompt, professional, and competent. I had called Dave's and left a message but they didn't get back to me (even now, after 2 days). John showed up quickly, verified what part was needed, then left to pick up the part. After returning with the part, he quickly replaced the broken one and lubricated everything, even my other garage door. I highly recommend John's for garage door repair.

The torsion spring on our door busted over the weekend. We called John on a Monday around 9am and he was very quick to reply.
Sent him some pics of the door & spring and he knew right away what was needed.
John arrived when he said he would and had our door repaired and opening more smoothly than it was before the failed spring. What's more, John came out on literally the hottest day ever in Hillsboro.
It reached 115 that afternoon.
I fully expected to try and schedule something with him later in the week knowing how hot it was, but he was here and done within an hour and change.

I called John in the early afternoon and asked if he could stop by and take a look at my garage door that had been disconnected from a bracket that held the automatic opener to the door. I sent him a couple of pictures and he agreed to stop by after work to take a look. He showed up a few hours later, bracket in hand, and replaced it on the spot. He also realign the rollers and gave the hinges a good servicing. I thought I would have to make an appointment for a later time and was thrilled he could take care of the problem right away! Called John to repair the garage door. The coil spring on the door had broke and needed to be replaced. Thanks to John, he replaced it with a better rated part (30K cycles vs the 10K cycles part that was originally installed). He also lubricated most of the moving parts. The only minor complaint I have is that the work got pushed by 3-4 days cause John ordered the incorrect part and then had to get it exchanged. That said, he was open and honest about it and I did not mind waiting a bit to get the job done right. I already recommended John to a friend of mine who needed similar work and will continue

This is the second time John has performed work for us. The first was installing the garage door and the second was replacing the opener. Both times he called back the same day. He was able to schedule us quickly, and is courteous and professional to work with. His work is thorough, with attention to detail. I have recommended John to friends, who had a similar experience.

John completed a fresh garage door opener install in 2 hours and the system functions perfectly. He responded to my quote request very quickly and recommended a good opener. He doesn't install the type (wall mount /jacksqrew) I was looking for . Regardless he was informative, professional, easy to work with and provided me list of other highly rated installers to contact. Our garage door came crashing down at 5:00 on a Thursday. Naturally our cars were in for the night. John arrived 30 minutes later and freed them. We found him on-line. At 4:57 on a Friday afternoon, as we were trying to get out the door for an errand, I heard a loud popping noise and bang - the garage door was stuck open. A quick call to John's Garage Door Repair and John was on the scene. Less than an hour later, and for only $95, he had repaired the unspooled cables, tightened the spring replaced 4 lag bolts, tightened the rest of the bolts, and adjusted the open and close stops - on BOTH of my garage doors.

We were recommended John Huey from our siding contractor as part of our exterior renovation project. We wanted to replace the old garage door which was dented. John did exceptional job for us at a very fair price. On Sunday after church one of our cars rolled forward and into our garage door. No damage to the car (rugged all wheel drive with reinforced bumpers) but lots of damage to the garage door. It looked bad and also messed up the iron track and rollers. Ugh!
