23 years ago, I started landscape installation while at Fossil Creek Nursery. Finding it a joy, I took on another job at the same time with Alpine Gardens back when they were in Greeley. As time went on, I eventually got a day job, yet I continued my passion for landscape installation working during my off-times for a friend's landscape business.

Michael and his crew at Backes Landscaping were excellent. They rebuilt a 40' garden retaining wall which had collapsed behind my home. They arrived on time and did an excellent job. Their bid was well below numerous other bids I obtained and the job came in well under the estimate! I highly recommend Backes Landscaping!

Backes Landscaping far exceeded our expectations. They were punctual, professional, extremely knowledgeable, helpful in making suggestions, used very healthy plants, cleaned up every day, and each of their employees was diligent and hard working. They created a colorful well balanced design and added such curb appeal to our property. Michael was quick to respond and both he and his crew chief were great listeners and wanted to be certain that we were pleased with the results. Michael and his team are amazing. We could not be happier. We highly recommend them and will definitely use them again. We have never dealt with a company with such great communication. They showed up exactly when they said they would and finished right on time (even though we added on to the project). They even came in under budget! They are extremely professional and accommodating. If we could give them more than 5 stars, we would. They built a rock staircase with a flagstone walkway and it is even better than we had imagined.

Michael's team installed our xeriscape backyard for our new construction home and we are extremely happy with the result and the entire process! Michael was responsive and professional from start to finish, he recommended a fantastic designer and installed our yard exactly as the design laid out; And the project was finished exactly on time! His team even helped us with our front yard which had elements that were poorly installed by the builders. We had drip line installed throughout the backyard and beautiful flagstone steppers, large boulders, river rock and mulch along with healthy beautiful

Michael and his team were absolutely great. They did a large yard with a water feature, small patio, sod, tons of plantings, and rock and mulch borders. They were always on time and the work is top notch. Carl and Michael are excellent communicators and problem solvers, great at answering questions, and they made sure we understood their process every step of the way. Their crew is polite, hard-working, and respectful. The job could not possibly have gone any better!

Backes Landscaping is seriously the best, at every step along the way!! Michael was super responsive throughout and provided a very reasonable estimate (and delivered on budget). I knew nothing about landscaping, so he was very patient, good at explaining, and conceptualizing my ideas. He and his worker were also incredibly considerate, and cleaned up the yard/equipment at the end of each day. I would definitely recommend him!!

Wow, Mike and his team are amazing. We had a large project done this year and they were able to transform our mountain home property from a unusable rocky weed field to a beautiful irrigated yard with a patio and fire pit. They built stone steps and path down to our home and made a play area for our son. They really know what they’re doing! I highly recommend!
