Alert Construction is a North Carolina licensed general contractor (#78419) serving the Piedmont Triad area. Our services include roofing repair and emergency roof repair, carpentry, painting, and handy services. We also build quality homes to your exact requirements. Ed Regensburg started Alert Construction in 1999.
I have been using Alert Construction for almost a decade now, and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a local contractor that will do a good job. I have used them on total home remodels for clients or banks, I have had them do punch out lists for due diligence requests, and I have also had them give me estimates.
We changed the bold color in the kitchen to a more neutral color making it more appealing to a wide range of buyers. The hardware on this storm door was broken and allowed the door to swing all the way open, making it likely the door and house would be damaged. Alert Construction replaced the hardware with a new set and the door works properly again.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Alert took over 6 months to complete a small scale renovation for a condo and doubled their estimated cost. The owner Ed Regensburg is a horrible, rude & disgusting man who lies and acts like he is doing you a favor for a paid job. Do NOT use unless you want shoddy, delayed work with a horrible attitude to go along with horrible workmanship!

This is the WORST rental company EVER!!!! Please avoid at all costs. They do not fix any issues that you have with your home, they will increase your rent drastically and all they provide is excuses!!! They switch receptionist every other month so no one in the office knows what they are doing and Julie the other receptionist that hides in the corner is the WORST!! RUDE AND DISRESPECTFUL! The attitude that she gives to the customers is far from ignorant and disrespectful!! Ed the owner wont even be man enough to have face to face conversations and they use

I was referred to Alert Construction by a fellow REALTOR in the area and hired them to do a job for a Seller in GSO Aug. 2018. Alert completed the job and I quickly added them to my list to refer other jobs to! I even had Ed come out to my personal home to prepare an estimate for a rebuild of a screened in porch/catio on 8/16/18 and was told I would get an estimate asap! It is now almost 3 weeks later (9/5/18) and I have still yet to receive even an estimate!! :/ I've followed up with them 1x per week since the evaluation and did initially receive an email from Ed saying it was his fault for the

THE WORST EVER!!! They have LOW STANDARDS! The work from the crew is always crooked, sloppy. Ends up looking very CRUDE and AMATEUR. Their customer service is BAD! They seem o.k. at first (to sort of "hook" you in), but once you get them under contract, the honeymoon is over. I have hired many other contracting companies over the years with little to no problem, but this company is TERRIBLE.

SLOPPY WORKMANSHIP!!! The WORST I have ever seen. Very AMATEUR!!! Please BEWARE! The crew wont take ownership of doing bad work. They just make up the silliest excuses. The owner, Ed Regensburg, is a VERY NASTY man to deal with.
Make note that his other companies, Property Administrators and We Rent Today, are under the same roof. Look up reviews for those companies too and you will see just how much of a BAD SEED you are dealing with.

Avoid at all costs! This company could not have done a worse job. The job that should have taken a month max took 3 months. Everything from the trim work to the plastering looks amateur. One of them must have cut themselves because there was a smear of blood left on the wall! I finally had to threaten to fire them to get the job finished.

Scheduled an appointment to have drywall repair. Technician never showed up and when I called to find out what was going on, receptionist(who I originally scheduled appointment with), told me I wasn't in the calender and she didn't know what happened. Her only suggestion to accommodate us was to reschedule 2 weeks from now. Very unprofessional and a complete waste of my time and day!

One of most disappointing companies I have ever dealt with. Let me start off by saying that my rating and review are not based on their work because we never actually got to that point.
After having to call 3 times just to get someone to call me back to get me scheduled for a quote you would have thought I would've known better. It is tough to find contractors who will DO what they say they will do! Alert has always come through for me, and I have sent them some challenges along the way. They are always my first choice for a punch out list of repairs, or when I need estimates on a variety of jobs. They really are full service. Need a pool repaired? They can do that. They did for me. Need a basement sealed? They are doing one right now for a client of mine. Need your HVAC worked on? Truly excellent service and quick turnaround!
