I called them. They seemed to be very professional

When packing they took stuff out of the house that was specifically identified as items not to take Packed horrible and broke almost everything and/or damaged it

I was worried how much trouble my move would be. But everyone who helped me at your company really set my mind at ease. From Murray who easily and conveniently booked my move to AK and Will who did the actual work. AK and Will were totally professional and considerate. No showed. I think it it a scam. They assured me on Wednesday after I read other reviews that we would be the first stop on Friday between 8 and 10. At 9 I started calling. No answer. My wife called and they answered on her cell phone. They kept trying to bounce us around. At the same time another number called me and said they had an emergency move and wouldn't be coming until after 1. So we scrambled to uhaul and had to move our own stuff before closing on the house a couple hours later.

My move was on 11/2. The movers sent were great however the truck was not big enough. I am in my new place without my TVs dinning room set dresser mirrors boxes my main items because the truck was small. I have none of my lamps was in the dark all night. Overall terrible experience. And I’m being charged more money to have this company bring it. I am just starting a new job on Monday. I am broke don’t extra. I was supposed to been out my old place as of the 2nd but all of my stuff is still there. I have been calling all morning and no response or call back. I am very disappointed in this process

Culmer moving was an easy and, convenient company for me in my experience. From Murry who booked my move. To AK and Will who actually did the moving. I accused AK and Will of being " freaking magicians " after I saw how well they got my heavy, bulky furniture out of the house. I highly recommend these people!

I moved from downtown to Wexford, my job was sizable, lots of boxes and furniture. The two men that packed were professional and efficient. They got the job done and did so without problem or issue. The price I paid was more than reasonable, beating what the other shops were charging. Best of all, Culmer Moving scheduled me last minute ie same day and showed up on time.

The day of my move I got a text message stating none of their drivers showed up to work and they were looking for someone to do my move. All the phone numbers go to voice mail and none state "Culmer Moving." Working on getting my deposit back!

They are the worst moving company I have ever dealt with. I was supposed to move on 6/26 between 8-10 am. I thought it was strange that at 10 pm the night before the move I received a text message from Mike from the moving company asking how I was going to pay for the move. Thought the timing was strange. When I said credit card he asked me to download Venmo for payment (at 10 pm ). I had already put a $100 deposit on my credit card (5 weeks prior) to reserve my spot. If I could give zero stars I would! Booked for today between 8am and 10am.....sat, waited, no movers showing up! When I called Culmer's phone #, it went directly to a full mail box, and it did that for every one of their numbers! I came back to my new home and used my landline phone that has a different phone #, they answered their phone! Almost makes me think they were trying to avoid me! I cancelled my move and said I want my deposit back! We'll see what happens, but I won't give up until I get it back! Stay away from these scammers!

SCAM - DO NOT USE CULMER - We had Culmer set up to move the heavier items in our current home to our new house. We were told truck would arrive between 0800-1000. They did not show up, after 2.5 hours we gave up on dialing. My wife set it up and she couldn’t get to the directory but I was able to. Sounds like they screen calls as well. After speaking with two different people in sales, I was told dispatch/operations would call back. Never happened. The absolute disregard for “customers” is appalling and this place needs to be shut down.

Movers never showed up, none of there numbers reachable. They are a scam! They do not send you a USDOT number and are not registered with FMCSA making it difficult to hold them accountable.

Worst moving company! Would rate zero if possible! Came late to the appointment, then said that they couldn't move my furniture because it wasn't on their contract! All of the specifics were given to the person who initially took the job. Everything was listed! Don't use this company!

I scheduled a move for the 16th which turned into a 3-day move because I had to pay twice. March 16, 2021, I scheduled a move to the next borough and scheduled the move between 9 AM to 12 in the afternoon. 9-12 became 12 to 3 then 3 to six. After a few calls I was told they wanted to change the date to Wednesday, which was a REAL problem because I agreed to be out of my property by the 17th. This is one of the shadiest moving businesses in the industry. They showed up at 1230 after they estimated it would be between 8 and 10. They smelled like weed when they walked in. As they moved the furniture into our new house they scratched, scuffed and dented our wall and used our banister as a balance for heavy furniture which subsequently were damaged. After contacting the company for compensation we were met with unprofessional encounters and accusations. A friend used Culmer several months ago and said they were OK, so I asked them for an estimate. They were reasonably priced at $110/hr, and very kind and professional on the phone. This did not align with my experience.

1. There were three movers. I was told theyd arrive between 8am-10am. At 9am, one man showed up at my door step, asking if the others had arrived. They had not. He sat on my front door step and smoked a cigarette.

2. The team lead showed up at 10am (After Shannon, the manager called me at 9:36am, to say he was on his way, and apologized for not calling earlier.) We now had 2

Culmer moving was SUPPOSED to move me from 8am-12pm Saturday March 23rd.
After approximately 10 calls starting at 10:09 am ,between my wife and I , we were unable to reach anyone.
The main number was forwarded to another phone number where you could only send your number to them as the mailbox was full and you could not send any kind of text.
After 2pm, after I already called around and got College Hunks (412-226-0859) moving last minute, I finally get an email as well as another email for another person.
Apparently this is the blanket message (pics below) they send to everyone when they are hungover

Was charged twice as much as quoted because office is incompetent when quoting a 2 bedroom apt. Lost 3 pieces of furniture due to carelessness. One, I wasn't even told about. I noticed the foot missing on an antique hope chest. It's now ruined. Very,very disappointed. This was my first experience with movers and I definitely won't be calling them.again.

Found out Culmer Moving is operating without insurance or authority.

I don't recommend using culver. i had been scheduled to move on saturday november 28 2020 between 2-7pm i called 5x and noone knew anything. the sales team tried to reach out to the drivers and even the owner and nothing happened no call no show i waited until 10pm for someone to tell me something and i got nothing
i called monday for my refund of my deposit and still nothing. this is not a professional company at all. i was stuck in between two houses on a sunday with no heat!!!!! no call no show!!!!!

Do not use this company unless you want damaged furniture, stained carpets, undisclosed fees, lack of response and complete disregard for any calls or claims you may need to discuss.

Great Moving Company!! Organized, affordable and experienced.
I appreciated the multiple email and phone confirmations this company made the days before the move being that the previous company I booked the week before didn't show. The men (AK, Will, Billy) were on time, professional and extremely polite. They were careful with all of the items moved and worked efficiently.
I will recommend this company to friends and family and would book again if I ever need their services. Thanks for making a stressful move, a positive experience!

First off, the team they sent out was very nice. However, it took 9 hours to move a 1 bedroom apartment. When I started putting things away I noticed a chunk taken out of my marble bar and a scratch from one end to the other. I contacted the company and left messages for the manager to contact me about the issue. The movers had forgotten a top to one of our tables and when they stopped to return it I showed it to them also. Fast forward 2 weeks and I still have not gotten a call back and now am just getting sent to voice mail. I hardly ever leave negative reviews but this was an expensive piece

Since we were new in town, I had to rely on yelp and proceeded with this business. We had to move stuff from freight terminal to a 2 BR apartment. Here are some of the concerns I had (have) with this business.

1) Their co-ordination is horrible. The quote you get from a staff member is no where close to what you will end up paying (this coming from a job that needed less than 2 hours of moving). Also, every time I call them from a pick up point, different person picks up the phone (never connects to the concerned dispatch party).
