What an ethical business! I had an issue with the garage door on my rental unit so I reached out to Jason. He responded immediately and told me it was an easy repair if I wanted to fix it myself and save some money. He gave me step by step instructions and sent a youtube video to illustrate. I hope Yelp keeps this review as recommended and doesn't hide it like it has so many others. I found Jason by reading a review of another company where the customers raved about West Coast garage door. After reading 36 "5 star" reviews (and 35 not recommended "5 star" reviews - not sure why they aren't recommended) I decided to hire them. Needless to say, Jason is freaking rad. Great service. Was available same day, but I requested the following day. He replaced two springs, two cables, and greased my current motor so it is finally quiet. I can't recommend him

Jason repaired my garage door motor in about an hour. He did not try to sell me a brand new motor for $700-800, as a lot of companies do. I was very pleased with his professionalism and friendliness. I would recommend this company to anyone looking for an honest and reasonably priced garage door repair company. Jason is a keeper and his dog Max is a real sweetheart! Very pleased.

Sent an email with pictures requesting quote late night. Jason Micallef, the owner, responded the first thing in the morning with very reasonable price, part description, tune-up, and 10 yr warranty. UPDATE: JASON HAS A DOG! AND IM IN LOVE! I called Jason back in September 2019 for a wiring issue that came undone and he was over literally within minutes after finding him on Angie's List.

Now earlier this July, my garage decided to mess with me and break the spring. Jason came over within half-hour and HE BROUGHT HIS DOG! Each problem occurred on a weekend, late in the afternoon, and he was at our home within an hour all 3 times. My parents, who are older in age, called for a service issue on their garage door (it needed to be reprogrammed). Jason charged them $120.00 for a service call, said it could not be fixed, and tried to upsell them on an entire new unit. Before my parents spent money they didn't have, my husband (who knows absolutely nothing about garage doors) came over and fixed the issue in about 5 minutes just by reading the service manual online. I challenge you to find a nicer, more honest, more knowledgeable garage door service man than Jason. I was prepared to purchase a new motor for my daughter's garage when Jason offered to repair the current motor for less than half the price of a new one. So nice to find someone who knows what he is doing and who is honest to boot. Highly recommended.

Just had a great experience with Jason! Earlier today, I went out to do errands and garage door went out. I called 3 companies until I spoke with jason directly and he said he could be here in 20 mins - he showed up, assessed the problem, explained her would be finishing another customer in O'side then would pick up the new door opener and finish my job by the end of the day. He did exactly what he said with a pleasant personality and confidence.

Jason is very good at saving you money. He does a great job, shows up on time, and is generally a pleasant person. I needed help at 6 a.m. and here was the first person to call me back. 90 minutes later my door was fixed and opened smoothly and quietly.

We can't close the garage door in the last 2 days after my wife picked up my kids from school in the afternoon.
I have asked him to swapping 2 sensors from left to right, and right to left to see it would help to solve the issue or not due to strong sunlight in the afternoon hitting the LHS sensor.
Finally he came by today on the 3rd one, and swapped the sensors. I wished he could come over on the 1st or @ least the 2nd day, but not until the third day with my multiple phone calls and voice messages.
As discussed, I would give him a feedback today to see the garage can be closed

This place was recommended to us by several local people that have used them. We called and he was here in 25 min. Fixed out garage door, and was reasonably priced. Great overall service and very happy with their work and very professional. If you find yourself in a bind with your garage door not working, or need other services, they were fast & efficient. Would use again and recommend.

We called WCGD late in the evening of October 24th and Jason answered the call; gave us an estimate to replace a broken torsion spring and the cables had slipped off the rollers. Told us that there are unscrupulous companies that will install springs made in China [charging $450] that are far inferior to the springs he purchases from a California dealer. The price difference is about $100, but the "made in USA" springs last 10 to 15 years; my "made in China" spring lasted just 5 years.

I just called Jason out today. He picked up on the third ring, I explained how I wanted to take a bat to my Marantec unit, and he said he would be right out in 15 mins.

Jason is a funny guy. He had me laughing the whole time, and I learned a few things, as he went ahead and reprogrammed my garage door and lubed up the joints of the door, etc... had that thing rolling as smooth as butter in about 10 mins! I was quite relieved...

I was also relieved when he told me what the total was for my services: less than $60! Whew! I know some companies who charge that just to make the house call!

Jason, the owner, is upfront about the part cost and labor after asked me to tell him in details about my garage door. The price is fair and comparible with most. He is professional and very friendly; do extra works and don't mind to tell me what I should do to keep my garage door heathy. The springs life is 10-15 yrs life so they are not cheap springs; they are oiled tempered black coated, I hope it means something to someone.

I can't say enough nice things about Jason with West Coast Garage Door. This past Saturday night I pulled into the garage and as it was closing we heard a loud pop like a gun shot and couldn't get it back open- my car was trapped inside. I called Jason at 7:30 (after hours) and he was at my house within the hour with everything he needed to get the job done. The garage was fixed in another hour and I was no longer trapped in with no transportation!

Immediately I felt that Jason is someone you can trust, he was very friendly, courteous and very professional. I was trying to find same day service, and after explaining the problem to Jason, he quoted me a GREAT PRICE and told me he will be there shortly.
