At 17 years-old TJ started in the automotive business as a lot tech and detailer in 1998. Soon he had his own mobile business repairing vehicles, and shortly after that he became the first employee/General Manager for Auto Source Motors. In 2009, he struck out on his own and formed TJ Chapman Auto as a car dealership and collision center.

Great dealer for some hard to find vehicles. Bought my CTS-V from out of state. I flew to Salt Lake City and picked it up to drive it home. Very professional, very straightforward on their pricing. I worked with Christian and Chris. Christian went back to the dealership after he was off for the night and took the car I was interested in to a place where I could see it for a FaceTime walk through. I had a great experience with TJ Chapman. I began my search on my website where they are very thorough in the pictures they take and the video of each vehicle! Then you have the blue star review which covers every square inch of the vehicle. I then went to the dealership where the sales staff was phenomenal very friendly and easy to work with. Transparency is lacking at this car lot!! Had trouble providing a consistent price for shipping, which understandable high on my end ..apparently from $900 to $1400..but for the buyers agreement the price with fees and shipping jumped the price up $2840.00 which if fees are excessively high they typically mention this...nope not till I was aggravated about getting a simple quote for shipping cost..$53992.00 jumps to $56880.00 ..sorry not for this tier 1. Thanks but transparency goes along way.

We bought a 2017 F-150 a few months ago, beautiful truck that was rebuilt from damage on the driver's side. We recently had an oops going into our garage and needed to take it to a body shop for repair. They were going to reskin the door, but the original rebuild was done so poorly that they had to replace the whole door instead (more cost). The original rebuilders used paint sticks and cork to shim the door skin to fit on a bent door structure (see photos), obviously to keep costs down and to avoid doing the repair the right way. Who knows what other shortcuts were taken in the rebuild process

I had a very good experience with TJ Chapman Auto. They were very easy to talk to and very informative. I bought a 2018 Mazda 3 from them. The car runs great and I absolutely love it. Very good fuel economy compared to my last car. I had been in a car accident a few days prior to buying this car, which totalled my last car. TJ Chapman was nice enough to let me use the car to get to the bank so I could buy it. They were a little late getting my plates to me but still did it before my temporary expired. I would recommend them for Good customer service, not pushy salesman, and for having a good reliable

This was by far the easiest car purchase I have ever made. We called ahead for the vehicle that we were aiming to get. And when we got there, it was already pulled up front and waiting to go. I was able to test drive within minutes of arriving. And we had the offer was done shortly after getting back to the dealer. Jordan J. was so helpful and friendly in the entire process. Called on Wednesday, wired funds on Thursday, received car on Saturday in Denver. Bought car unseen, not disappointed, hi def photos helpful, received as expected. Smooth process, ways to get better, switch to individual messaging vs. business-wide, never actually knew who I was texting, also formalize funds wire instruction document. I've purchased several branded titles from a couple different dealers, would recommend and purchase from TJ Chapman again.

Don't trust anything they say. We literally had a signed purchase agreement. We wanted to take the car home that night but they suggested leaving it there so the work could be fixed by their mechanic. Two days later I call to check on the work and was told they sold the car to someone else who offered more money. I had given them half of the money up front and they said to give them the rest when we picked up the car. Their only response was "sorry, we sold it to someone else who paid a higher price." Got it, lesson learned, don't trust TJ Chapman Auto. A handshake and a contract

I am IN LOVE with my new car I purchased here! They have been doing work on our cars for years, so it was a no-brainer when it came time to replace my car. This is a car I would not have otherwise been able to afford, so I was thrilled to find it! We had it checked out, before we purchased it by a private mechanic and after by a Subaru dealership. They were both impressed with the work that had been done to restore the car. TJ and his mom are fantastic to work with, and although the salesman was new, he was incredibly friendly and went out of his way to be accommodating.

Bought a beautiful 2015 Toyota Sienna 3 years ago. Everything looked great except for some scratches that weren't too noticeable. The car was branded title but had gone through the 150 point inspection so we felt safe. We saved a lot of money that way. The weekend after the purchase, we took a road trip up to Idaho. These guys were so great to me. I bought a used Audi and had a fuel pump go out the very next day. Their mechanic Jose worked with me to get the car repaired quickly (which is saying something in the middle of these corona times) and kept me up to date the whole time. When it came time to pick up the car Jose and TJ decided to eat the entire cost of the repair! Very happy with the entire experience and look forward to going through them when it's time for a new car!

I just got an outstanding deal on a rebuilt 2019 Toyota Tacoma. It was exactly what I'd been looking for, year, color, very low mileage, and super duper price!

They arranged financing locally because my credit union would not deal with a branded title.

I purchased a 2009 Suburban from TJ Chapman. I knew what I wanted to look at when I arrived and had already run a CarMax report. Jake was very helpful and I was allowed to test drive and inspect the vehicle thoroughly. 3 issues that I found were fixed and the vehicle was detailed while I did the paperwork. Again, Jake was very helpful and I was driving off with my new vehicle within an hour and a half. The entire staff was helpful, courteous, open, and professional. If you are looking for a great used vehicle, TJ Chapman is the first place you should look.

Just bought a 2015 Hyundai Sonata Sport from these guys and it was a great experience. I was nervous about buying a rebuild for the first time, but they were able to show me a photo of what the car looked like before it was rebuilt, and it was very minor damage to the front bumper, which made me feel better!
From what I understand, most if not all of the cars they sell come from California and are already rebuilt before they touch them. Apparently California insurance is very unforgiving about rebuilds, making the cars almost worthless there. Luckily Utah insurance (at least mine) is indifferent

My husband and I bought a hardly used (but front end rebuilt-collision) Toyota Sienna. We were nervous to buy a rebuild, but so far it has been a dream minivan. We've only had two minor issues (one being just a fluid top off that freaked us out because it caused smoking), and another that was discovered because of another small front end collision we had at a stop light. TJ has been nothing but kind, and responsive and helpful with everything. And a man of his word with any warranty claims and coverage. Taking the calls from me personally. He lent us a van free of charge while they were verifying

I have never bought a car so quickly. TJ gave me his lowest price immediately. It was hundreds below NADA. He resolved every single concern I had. His excellent staff had pictures of the car before their amazing shop did their repairs. He also had the carfax and the car was meticulously clean and ready to go.
