Joe's Landscaping & Nursery was established in 1964 by Joe and Esther Marion. It began as a landscaping company and added a nursery division to sell additional plants to fellow landscapers. As the years progressed, the nursery division grew larger and began to accomodate residential customers also.

Eventually the landscaping division was phased out to focus our total attention on the public and their nursery needs. Today Joe's Landscaping & Nursery is run by the Marions along with their daughters Michelle and April who serve the customers daily in their roles as bookeeper and sales manager. Tommy Phelps; their son-in-law, is the nursery production manager.
Services
Joe's Landscaping & Nursery carries a broad selection of plants and trees acclimated to the Piedmont Area of North Carolina Planting Zones. Our knowledgeable staff will be happy to assist you in your selections for your yard. These not only beautify your yard and landscaping, they make excellent top dressing for your plant beds and natural areas and they provide weed control and moisture retention for your flowers, shrubs and trees.

I would give zero if I could. The rude lady in the front office could not make any price worth me doing business here again. My husband and I went there today to buy a considerable number of plants and ten trees for our yard. When I asked her opinion on recommendations she looked at me and said..” I don’t have time to design your entire house!!” I explained I just wanted her opinion and showed her a picture of our new home.....this woman had such a nasty remark my husband just walked out!!!! We will never go back there. It blows my mind that so many people have remarked about this woman and

I never leave reviews. However, I felt compelled after extraordinarily rude service when I had called to inquire about placing an order for close to 75 plants needed to re-do my yard. My first question was if they delivered. The answer was curt and I was told she could not tell me until I put in an order. The answer is either yes or no. I felt like I was being told only if I ordered enough might they even consider delivering.
I asked if they had loropetulum, nandia and legustrums. The response was again "of course we do." Rude does not do it justice. It was like I was a bother for wanting to do

Joe's was recommended to me as a place that could give suggestions on what to plant in a natural area. When I asked if someone could help, the rude very sarcastic lady told me that it was very simply laid out. Plants that needed shade were under the shade and plants that needed sun were not. She then proceeded to ask me if I could read and told me all of the information for each plant was listed on the tags and I could go read each one and figure it out myself. I was trying to support local but after that interaction I got in my car and left. I would rather spend my money at a place where customer

Landscaper here, buy thousands of dollars worth of plants from Joe’s annually but the office lady is a rude, smart a** and always has sarcastic comments when asked questions. It’s clear I’m not the only one with this problem reading the reviews...

Joe’s has a wide range, beautiful and healthy selection of shrubs and trees. They have so many different varieties, some I haven’t been able to find around town. Wish I would’ve came here first when starting our landscape project. Will definitely be back and would recommend for mass planting.

I ENJOY visiting Joe at Joe's landscaping. He is a kind and genuine person and I truly want to buy local. However, there is a lady in the office that is very rude. Today, I called was "assisted" by this lady. I have now decided that Joe needs to fix this situation as I will not be doing business with him again.

Has the best prices, selection in Triad. It's a family owned business, and it shows. Joe is 80 and loves the business, but others aren't so keen. Maybe they've been spoiled by the success of his hard work and don't appreciate the business the way he does, so service can be spotty. That's the way family businesses are. You can't fire your grand-daughter or your nephew's kid.
It just means you might have to interact differently and not go full-Karen the way the other reviewers have. You might have to ask for Joe, or someone else who knows the plants, but you'll find someone. Try that at Home Depot
