Dirtworks & Bobcat Service was founded about 18 years ago by Heath Trumbly and his family. He began doing Bobcat service for builders and homeowners. Over time business expanded from dirtwork to also cover: landscaping, landscape design, irrigation, irrigation repairs, hardscapes, lawn maintenance and land clearing.
A good design will take into account the plant material, "theme" or appearance, scale and the owner's expectations. There is more to do Landscape Installation than just digging a hole. Soil preparation is important to give the new landscape a healthy start. If your soil needs amending we have the equipment and means to add from a wheel barrow to a dump truck of top soil.
Are you having problems with yard drainage? Standing water, low spots, run-off causing erosion? In Birmingham Alabama we have a multitude of different conditions from underground springs to the problems created by the closeness of homes in subdivisions. We can handle it. Proper grading and a French drain system will alleviate many of these problems.
We provide services: Landscape maintenance, Lawn Maintenance, Weed Control, Pest Control, Prunning, Tree Romoval, Mulching. Our Landscape Maintenance division is more than "mow, blow & go." Grass cutting is only part of lawn maintenance. Again it is the attention to detail that sets us apart. We had an awesome experience with Dirtworks! We had an old retaining wall that had fallen. We were very pleased with the suggestions they made and the quote. Heath was very knowledgeable, honest and easy to work with. We have enjoyed working with him and his exceptional crew. They were extremely polite, professional and always on time They are very hard workers and left our driveway clean and neat while working! The retaining wall turned out much better than we had envisioned. They also took care of our drainage issues. Their workmanship exceeded our expectations!

Just got taken by Dirt Works, would never used them again. I change my order from 3 yards to 2 yards and was told they couldn't do it because they had a 3 yard minimum. I cancelled the order because I didn't need 3 yards. They called me back and said they would make an exception and since I was so close, they would go ahead and deliver me 2 yards. I thanked them thinking they were doing me a favor. What they didn't tell me was that I was paying extra for the "favor". They increased their already extremely high delivery cost from $55 to $65 for the delivery but didn't tell me on the phone they were
