After graduating from Stony Brook University on Long Island in 1989, Robert Gordon, the founder of RGS, decided to relocate to the Triangle area of North Carolina. As Robert was looking for work related to his degree, he started painting for a Raleigh painting company. Robert immediately found his new passion in the hands-on work of home transformation.

Robert's company is the highest ranked James Hardie siding installer in our area, and I can attest to the fact that Robert and his crew of installers and painters deserve each and every excellent review they have received. Robert''s team did a whole home residing project for us. Not only was Robert easy to work with, he was super knowledgeable and his crew was top notch. Their work was impeccable, they cleaned up well after such a large job. Their caulking work is absolutely perfect. Robert was also very quick to answer any questions or concerns I had. Even better - when we had trouble matching our paint for a new shed almost a year after the project was complete he personally located the right paint for us and delivered it to us. We used Robert and his team to have our old masonite siding replaced on our whole home. We shopped around and received several quotes. We chose Robert based on seeing the work he has done on other homes in our neighborhood and from speaking with others he had worked with in the past. Robert Gordon's team replaced all of our masonite siding with HardiePlank lapsiding and he painted some of the exterior. They provided good value with a high quality result. Everyone on his team is professional, hard working, timely, and courteous.
We ran into some difficulties with supply chain issues due to COVID, but he always worked with us and did all he could to expedite things.

I contacted Robert Gordon for an estimate to replace the siding on my 33 year old home. He responded quickly and his estimate was given within 2 days. I needed time to get HOA approval and financing and when I had everything in order his crew put me next on the schedule. They were efficient, polite, and cleaned up after themselves. Then came the paint crew, and again I was pleased with their professionalism. Robert came out after each of his crews were done, to inspect everything before going to the next phase.
