Hi! I'm Barry Flaherty, the owner and operator of CLT Trees. For over 10 years, I've been performing tree care services in the Charlotte area. Climbing and caring for trees is my passion. When you have CLT Tree service you're trees, you'll be working directly with me and my teammate for all of your tree care needs.
Tree removal is a necessary part of tree care. When we remove a tree for you, we climb the tree, safely lower it to the ground, remove the stump and clean-up our debris before leaving. Tree is in a location that isn't safe - too close to your home, your driveway, powerlines. Tree is one of too many on your property, and overcrowding is affecting the health of your trees.
I had CLT Tree out to our house to handle some tree trimming. They offered quick service with competitive prices, a friendly attitude, and professional demeanor. Reliable. Reasonable. Professional. Responsive. Had a large branch snap but not completely detach from an old tree that I had already been contemplating removing. Barry, the owner, replied promptly when I inquired about a quote. He showed up the next day and his crew took care of the branch the day after he came over. I've used them twice since, including a very large Pin Oak in my back yard. Highly recommend.

Love this tree service!
They committed to a date, confirmed ahead and came out right on time on the original date! That's tough to find in this business. We did have to wait ~6 weeks from the initial quote, but that's how everything is right now.
We had them take down 2 large trees in our front yard on a hill with some difficult constraints. They got them down quickly without any incidents or damage. They also pruned our huge overgrown magnolia perfectly the way we had hoped. Crew left property cleaner than when they arrived.

Had a great experience with Barry and CLT Tree. Him and his employees were very professional. I had 7 companies come give us quotes (half of which didn’t get back to us due to the complexity of the job) and he delivered way over our expectations. We had two 100ft trees removed that were 4 ft away from our house on a hill, with 100 ton crane, and our yard doesn’t even look like anything happened today. These guys were surgical the way they went ab removing these trees. Great job all around. Thanks again!

The team was extremely professional, assisted in making sure none of the items around our lawn would be in the way, and even helped a baby cardinal make it back into their nest! The only Reason I did not give 5 stars was because the lead time for service was a month +. Will be using again for sure.

CLT Tree is the real deal. Barry and his crew are excellent. Very professional and these guys know what they are doing. You can tell they have been doing it for a long time. Barry Flaherty was recommended by a close friend who spoke highly of him. After getting in touch, he was able to stop by and give me a quote which was very fair. Barry and his team came by yesterday as scheduled and did a great job removing a few trees and trimming others in our property. They cleaned everything and left the property looking great. Our experience with Barry and his team was excellent from start to finish. We had a very (!) large white oak tree to be removed and we were focused on taking it down with minimal risk and lowest-possible impact on our yard. Charlotte Tree did a good job for removing two pines. However, I they did not clean up as well as they should have requiring about 2 hours of raking and small limb pickup. Secondly, their vehicles have several leaks.
I will give them a recommendation with the Caveat that any potential customer confirm with CLT Tree that all of the debris will be picked up and raked properly, plus wherever they park their equipment, they will need to put down cardboard or plywood under the vehicles to avoid oil stains.

CLT Tree did a very nice job trimming one of our 100+ year old trees out front and also doing some trimming to the lower portions of some evergreens which had started to take over our yard in the back. They quoted a very reasonable price and did all the work plus the clean up in a few hours. The crew was professional and courteous. We would definitely recommend them to a friend.

I have a very challenging lot, steep and wooded. Barry and his guys removed 7 trees of various size mostly from the back (bottom of the hill) of my lot. The "grapple & drag" machine that they use to move the downed timber could not handle the hill and wet ground so it turned into a much more labor intensive job than anticipated. It didn't slow them down they carried every log out of the backyard and up the hill to their trucks.
CLT also took the time to clean up the small stuff that naturally ends up all over the place, and Barry even gave me some tips on sharpening my own

CLT Tree came out to our property to perform a wide variety of services. They started by showing up on time. Throughout the day they removed a tree over my house utilizing ropes,pulleys, and dexterity. They also removed some deadwood from a tree and v raised the canopy and fertilized another. I couldn't have been happier with their skill, price and they were courteous too!

Barry and his guys just finished up at my house. They were on time, professional, and affordable. We had them clear some brush and trim a tree over our driveway. They cleaned up after themselves and even cleaned up extra leaves on our back porch that they didn't cause! We have lots of big trees in our backyard and will definitely use them in the future to cut down some of them!

Mother Nature has created serious damage to my property in the last year. CLT Tree showed up quickly and without hesitation, twice. I sent a text message and they showed up. They went above and beyond with quality and most of all, safety. The best was how knowledgeable they are about working with homeowners insurance. They are so good, the inspector was ecstatic with the paperwork and the tree work.
Now when I look at my massive trees, I am confident my home and my family are safe.
