We had a huckberry tree that uprooted during the storm and was leaning toward neighbor's backyard, so we needed to remove that ASAP. HTT was very responsive; Jorge came in the morning, gave a fair quote and then scheduled the removal for the next day. They worked really quickly and were done in about an hour.
An arborist is trained in the science and art of caring for and maintaining plants and trees. Certification involves an official assessment of an arborist's knowledge and competence to provide proper tree care. The certified arborists at Houston Tree Team are also required to maintain certification by remaining up to date on the latest techniques in arboriculture.

Bad experience with this company. The man that we dealt with was hard to deal with. He refused to make a change in the tasks. He just said "no, it is a package deal". He left and his crew didn't do all of the things in the "package". We paid a lot for service that we didn't get. Will never use them again.

I had five different companies come out to provide a quote to remove a larger water oak that was becoming a danger to my house. Houston Tree Team was by far the most competitive bid. They were able to do the work shortly after I accepted the bid and showed up on time.
They made quick work at that huge tree. In about four hours the tree was down, debris removed and the stump ground. They cleaned up the yard, the roof and hauled everything away. I really wish that I had read John D.'s review on YELP regarding Houston Tree Team before hiring HTT's services. I am writing this review after having them do work on my yard today (7/13/2020) and regretting the experience.
At 1st they seemed very nice and easy to work with but things were just as John D.'s review predicted.
This morning they claimed that the estimate was undervalued. My original quote was for a tree removal of an unhealthy tree, a tree timing on a tree close to power lines and a tree topping (i.e. reduction of at least 10 feet) of my tallest tree + an existing stump grinding

I hired Houston Tree Team to cut my tree in my backyard. They seemed nice at first but the problems quickly arose. Here are the highlights of what they did wrong:
1. The first quote they gave me was $300 to cut the tree above my roof.
2. I agreed and they came out the next day but discovered they had given me a quote for the wrong tree. So they changed it to $1500. Ok fine, it's a big tree.
3. The day they were supposed to cut the tree, they argued with me for HOURS about what should be cut or not. We had already agreed to what was SUPPOSED to be done, however they stopped working and

I decided around noon to choose HTT and to my amazement, they came out around 1pm to do the job. This involved cutting down 2 large pine trees in my front yard. The largest 80 foot tall tree was only 3 feet from the house and surrounded by landscape plants.
The team from HTT were very careful and after the Job was done only one branch on a shrub and a corner of a piece of flagstone

The Houston Tree Team did a great job! They were quick, professional, and thorough. We had a tree down after a storm and it was blocking part of our neighbor's front walkway. They were able to squeeze us in last minute due to a cancellation and they got the entire job done and the downed tree hauled away within 30min (not a huge tree but a good size). Would gladly use them again.

The copy of their insurance policy on the proposal/quote was nice. Price was competitive, they showed up on time , did what they said, cleaned up everything and went on their way.
I had 4 large oak trees trimmed and another tree removed. They knew what they were doing and it wasn't a hack job. They were all really close it my home and overhanging the house and they had no problem removing the limbs and trimming them safely. Very experienced and professional crew.

Responsive, fast, professional, and reasonably priced (I had several companies give quotes). I had a huge oak tree in my yard that was dying and needed to come out ASAP. I used Yelp to message them on a Sunday afternoon, they responded right away, and the next day came out to look at the tree and give me a quote. Within the week the tree was gone without a trace! I could not have been happier. They were also very honest about their services and did not try to add on any additional costs. I will be recommending them to others - HIGHLY recommend!

Can't go wrong when your contact is named Jorge; had to have two pine trees that my less than neighborly neighbor would not trim trimmed so that they did not drop crap all over my garage, driveway and cars; Houston Tree Team came and did a great job so that my issue is now resolved; fair price, timely response, timely service and cleaned up extremely well after their work.

After receiving an estimate from HTT for tree trimming service, I scheduled the actual service for a subsequent Saturday morning. HTT then failed to show up for the scheduled service. And not only did they not show up, no one even bothered to call me to inform me they weren't coming. I had a large old oak next to my garage that needed to come down. It had dropped a 5" diameter limb through my house roof about 6 years ago and now that I have a car parked under it, I got that uneasy feeling. Jorge came out to give us a quote and he was straightforward and professional about what needed to be done and how much it would cost. I called the Houston Tree Team to have get a quote on trimming four trees rooted in an easement behind our house. They were able to have George dispatched the same day, and he arrived within the time frame provided by the receptionist. George quickly provided an estimate and was able to get the work scheduled for the following morning.

Got several quotes from several different tree companies. Their price was great and their work was amazing! Couldn't tell by looking at the ground that they had even been there. It wasn't until I looked up that I could really see they had come. The trees look amazing! I couldn't be happier.
They trimmed my two tall oaks, my one massive oak (that is about 7' wide) and my one large magnolia. My only regret is that I didn't get them to trim the rest of the trees on the property.

My neighbor hired Houston Tree Team to trim his dying tree. I was kind enough to allow them access to my back yard to make their job easier. I have a brand new 8' stained cedar fence that they carelessly drug their oversized branches along and severely scratched in various places plus they damaged my gate. I had numerous estimates from other companies. Decided to go with Houston tree team for their price point and the fact their quote showed the companies insurance certificate. They had to cancel due to weather, which is totally understandable. When they showed up promptly the next day I was impressed how fast they started to work. I had the Houston Tree Team remove 3 trees and trim a huge oak hanging dangerously over my roof. The crew was fast and professional. The job was big enough where they had lunch under another huge oak. Trimming cutting down stumping and cleaning the yard. All was perfectly done at a perfect price for the job. They're not cheap by any means but I found them to be in some cases up to $1000 less than other tree removal service companies. They are coming back to do some landscaping for me now that the yard is clear. They even sized up and stacked the oak wood so I could use in my fireplace next year
