Rick Shipman started business in 1991 as a single proprietor. In the beginning, staff consisted of Rick and three employees who specialized in concrete work in southeast Missouri. In 1993, Rick expanded his service area and did several jobs as a subcontractor with other construction companies with Wal-Mart contracts.

Terrible place to work no one knows what's going on when you show up to jobs i put a ton of miles on my truck running all over the damn place to work a couple nights then set for days at a time not getting paid then work a couple days and go to the next location i hired on as a carpenter and i have been a superintendent at my previous job doing the same stuff then they had me and one other guy chiping out 5500sqft of tile with chiping hammers then i did the steel work hung all sheet rock finished it and painted it did the ceiling grid. Handled all of it showed them what i could do worked six months

Rock shipman has a wonderful team working in my store. They work with integrity and honesty. Mr. King is the general contractor working on my stores renovations. He’s very experienced and NEVER cuts any corners. He’s willing to explain the work being done and works very swiftly and above all safely. Him and his team of contractors are doing a wonderful job and it’s been an absolute pleasure working with Rick Shipman’s Construction so far.
