Project Summary: This contemporary multi-level split home constructed in 1956, was designed by famed architect George Burrows who designed many homes in the Shaker Heights area. While the couple loved the architectural style of the home, almost everything in the home was original and improvements for modern living were badly needed.
While making a major change to your home is exciting and rewarding, it can also seem overwhelming. That's why Hurst Design-Build-Remodeling has created a unique process to guide each project from idea to reality-ensuring clear communication, timeliness and organization, and exceptional quality. To a lot of people, the "Design-Build Remodeling" part in our name sounds a little unusual.

Hurst did an outstanding job designing and building our outdoor Dream Space - complete with a spacious porch for entertaining and an outdoor kitchen, all perfectly blending into our home as if it was always here.
The communication, planning, and craftsmanship were all exceptional. Their staff were a pleasure to work with, and the contractors they selected for the more complicated aspects were at the top of their trades. Look forward to our next project with Hurst!

We just had a major home remodeling project completed by Hurst Design Build. It totally transformed our home & we are completely satisfied with the results.
We added a dormer in the front of our home & redesigned the entire upstairs creating two separate bedrooms including a master bedroom with large walk-in closet.
We decided to go with Hurst because they seemed the most organized & professional of the companies we looked into. We were not disappointed. Everyone involved was professional & highly skilled.
We would not hesitate to refer any of our friends or family.

Unfortunately we had a bad experience from the start. My wife called for an estimate on our construction blue prints coming to reality. Only to have the receptionist on the phone make short comments and wouldn't give my wife the time or day to even make that request while I sat in awe listening...
I'm highly dissatisfied at how we were treated on the initial call. I thought companies like this would be more receptive and desiring work...
My opinion unless rectified would be to not even bother with them as they cannot even be respectful on initial calls.

We did a complete house remodel which took approximately 6 months to complete (May 2017 to Nov 2017). We touched every room in the house with a primary focus on kitchen and 3 full bathrooms. Hurst even rebuilt a staircase going from our 1st to 2nd floor. They did an outstanding job and we could not have been more pleased. From the initial designer who worked with us on a variety of selections (i.e. tile, flooring, cabinets, etc...) to the various contractors who worked at the house ---- everything was done in a professional and high quality manner.

We are so happy with the work that Hurst has done to make our house into our DREAM HOME!
