We are the Tree Cowboys of Baumann Tree Service. Matt Baumann, our Owner/Fearless Leader, and his tree crew have spent the last 8 years working in the wooden giants of East Tennessee. We specialize in hazardous tree removals, professional pruning, emergency tree care, and stump grinding. Not only do we provide tree services, but we also try our best to help support and serve our community.
Matt Baumann is the original Tree Cowboy. After growing up raising horses on a farm and riding bulls in the rodeo, he took his talents into the trees. The Tree Cowboys are more than just a group of redneck tree workers. We are a licensed and insured professional tree service company that operates in the greater Powell, Tennessee area. We provide several tree services for our community. Baumann Tree Service has been caring for the trees in East Tennessee for more than eight years. Matt Baumann is the owner and lead climber for our company.
How many trees do you have on your property? Have you ever taken a close look at them? The average home owner has 2-4 trees on their property. We see these trees as indestructible giants towering over our precious homes, but the truth is that they are the complete opposite. Most trees are extremely sensitive and incredibly fragile.
What is the difference between tree trimming and pruning? To a lot of people, these two services might sound extremely similar. The truth is that both of these services are different and have extremely different affects on the tree. Tree Trimming is the cosmetic removal of specific branches on the tree that are chosen by the client for the client's own purpose.
Removing a tree means to cut down or remove at least fifty percent or more of the crown, trunk, or root system. This type of professional tree service requires an enormous amount of education and a high level of skills to execute safely. That is why Matt Baumann himself handles all of the tree removals for our business.

These guys are the best! Had them take down a large tree next to my house, and they did a wonderful job of dropping the tree without damaging any of my other trees, my fences, or my yard. They cleaned up and removed all traces of the tree to where you could not tell one had been there. Huge bonus that they came in $350 cheaper than what the other 2 companies quoted me. Highly recommend!

Let's give a round of applause for the folks at Baumann Tree Service.
The neighbors cat was stuck in my tree about 50 feet in the air for a little over two days. I called everyone trying to find someone to help, fire department, friends, anyone that had a bucket truck also other tree services. I went and borrowed the tallest I could find all with no luck. Everyone I spoke to basically told me to let the cat starve, which I wasn't going to let happen. I post up on social media and these guys were tagged.

Company is impossible to get honest answers. Booked a job to have two trees taken down. Came first time early which was great. Left equipment and then sent another crew to finish up. Whites tree service. Wife believed they worked faster and better than baumann. They ripped up my lawn and my neighbors and promised to come back and fix both lawns never did show. If anyone is interested I have the text. Patrick is not much more then a thief and liar. Found a deposit in my account and asked him for verification if it was from them even though I already paid then. He said yes and picked up a second

Baumann just trimmed a tree in my front yard that was touching my roof. The guys were great! I had a quote from another tree service that was cheaper (larger company) and Baumann came back with a better one, and were here the next day! They were here exactly when they said they'd be here, got set up immediately, and were done before I knew it! And when they were done they even cleaned up the leaves in my front yard! What fantastic service! Highly recommend!
