Kyle & Melanie started K & M Construction Group together shortly after Kyle transitioned off active duty service because they struggled for years to find contractors who excelled at communicating, attention to detail and above all, integrity. Melanie has worked in property management since 2016 and interior design since 2017.

K&M rebuilt our front porch pedestal wraps and railing, and we are very happy with their work and professionalism. They responded promptly to my initial request, really listened to what we wanted to have done, and then built what we had requested. They made sure we were happy with the finished work. They showed up when they said they would and kept us informed through the entire process. They're friendly, conscientious and knowledgeable. We're very glad we found them and won't hesitate to work with them again.

I have had them do multiple projects for me, from a complete master bedroom & bathroom remodel, to smaller handyman needs like painting, building steps to my deck,mounting shelves & hanging curtains. I would not call anyone else. They are talented, trustworthy & worth every cent.

These guys are fabulous. They responded promptly to my request for contact (via Yelp), then came by right away and gave us a bid that was fair. It was a small job, but they didn't treat it (or us) like it was any less worthwhile than a bigger one. All three of the main guys are super nice, conscientious, communicative, and excellent at their work. If I could give them 10 stars, I would. Plus, they did what they said they would do when they promised. None of the typical problems with not showing up, not responding to questions, etc. I would hire them again in a minute. Simply the best contractors

The owner or a representative called and asked me what I needed done. He then basically told me that he would let me know when he was around my area......feels/felt like a brush off. Have never heard from him again, and at this point wouldn't work with them. In the meantime, I still need a bathroom made, and a bathroom extended. I guess he felt my money or project wasn't worth his time.

Had a small a fence staining project. Called 4 other companies and none of them would take the job. Called K&M and got a bid within 24 hours. They showed up a few days later and completed the job in a day. They were very professional and I was extremely happy with the finished project.

K&M construction built us a new, custom automated driveway gate for our Portland home last year. The whole experience was top notch from start to finish.
First, Kyle and his team actually took the time to have a conversation with us on the exact specifications we wanted instead of the other construction fencing/gate firms that I talked to when shopping around who seemed more limited. For any part that was not going to work structurally or I didn't have ideas for, they came with knowledgeable recommendations.

We had a toilet sewer problem where we had to rip up the bathroom floor and have it redone. Since we were doing one bathroom we decided to do all the bathrooms in the house. I called Kyle from the airport on my way out of the country and he described exactly the process and how it would work. Eric, his project manager, was very communicative, the guys were great and the floors turned out really well. It was a very smooth, transparent and easy process. Thank you!

We needed to remodel our entire master bedroom, master bath, and utility area. Original area had carpet and linoleum. Eric, Brian, and Kyle installed beautiful Luxury Vinyl into the master bedroom and bath. Tore out our old single vanity and placed a double vanity. We also had them extend the shower and place tile. The companies they contracted with for the tile, electric and plumbing were all fair priced and very professional! A+ craftsmanship- Eric and Bryan just finished what I will call a beautiful and expertly done job in my home. They installed 3/4 inch hardwoods on the first floor of my home. They also installed beautiful baseboards. Their work was done with such care and also efficiency. We HIGHLY recommend these men. They are honest and trustworthy. We will use them again and again for our home projects.

K&M Construction was a pleasure to work with. Kyle and his team replaced a fence for us. They were extremely professional in all of our interactions and completed the job very quickly. They kept the job site clean and orderly and removed all debris. We wish we had called them sooner! Despite the small nature of our job, Kyle treated us as valued clients and fit us into his team’s schedule. The job came in on budget and exceeded our expectations. From start to finish, our bathroom remodel and update was seamless! Everyone was so professional and thorough with each step. The outcome was even better than we had hoped for! We can not wait to have K&M construction back to do our other bathrooms ! They even helped us out with drywall on our kitchen ceiling after we had a broken pipe burst. Can’t even tell we had a hole in our ceiling previously !We highly recommend this company !

Highly recommend Kyle & team! We engaged them to replace a sliding glass door. They were responsive and communicative throughout the whole process, and didn't try to sell us on any extras that we didn't need like we've experience in the past with other contractors. They were willing to work around our schedule and availability, left everything clean, and even put up with our overly excited dog getting in their way :) The work was high quality and we're so pleased with the result! Will definitely be using again.
