We are a locally owned company with our office and tree service facilities in Tampa, Florida. We became incorporated in February of 1993 and we have been continually in business to this date. James A. Weaver is the founder and president of the company. He became an I.S.A. (International Society of Arboriculture) Certified Arborist in 1992 and attends seminars and workshops to continue certification.
James A. Weaver is a certified arborist (#SO-0312A) with the International Society of Arboriculture. He became certified in 1992 (first in the South Tampa area). He continues his education through regular seminars and workshops to keep his certification current. We are fully covered with Worker's Compensation, Liability and Auto insurance.
The origin of the meaning of the name Tampa is believed to be from the Calusa language, a Native American tribe that lived in the area, meaning "Sticks of Fire" although there has been some dispute about the meaning. Tampa is one of the most lightning-active places in the world and receives a high concentration of lightning strikes every year.
James A. Weaver is an I.S.A. Certified Arborist with many years of consulting experience on a wide variety of projects. His consulting projects have ranged from diagnosis and treatment of sick and/or damaged trees to protecting trees by preventive measures during site development to court appearances for clients as an expert witness.
