It all started when John Prizio working as union carpenter was forced to leave his apprenticeship due to a union strike. Burdened with the responsibilities of a home and family he decided to start his own company. He began going door to door handing out fliers to introduce the community to his services.
When I call your phone number will I be greeted by a professional operator or a cell phone voice mail?. Your call to Prizio Roofing will be answered by an operator who is trained to record all of your information required for us to return your call. Voicemails are very impersonal and a sign of an unprofessional operation.
Prizio has been owned and operated continuously by John Prizio since 1968, and our longstanding reputation speaks for itself. Roofing insurance is expensive, and some contractors only have general contracting insurance, but NOT roofing insurance coverage. Prizio has full coverage insurance which includes both workman's compensation and two million dollar liability FOR ROOFING.

We used this company to replace our roof in 2017 which was nearing it's end of life. We had no issues with our existing roof but didn't want to wait until there were leaking issues before replacing. Within a few weeks of using Prizio to replace the roof, we had a leak come through a light fixture on the main floor. We called and the owner responded pretty quickly. He said he checked everything and that it was just a perfect storm of rain/wind that caused the leak. Turns out we have had several "perfect" storms since. These guys sales team are all over the place. From scheduling to production - the process was a nightmare. Our roof was promised to be replaced in 1 day, it took 3. Once they were finished with the job, I asked them to fix a piece of the gutter that was clearly damaged by a ladder, the installer told me that it wasn’t their problem. Our roof was installed about 6 months ago and we still have an active leak in our attic. Anyone looking for a roof replacement in Lower Fairfield County should stay away from these guys.

They were on time, fair price, owner John Prizio was detail oriented/checks-in, friendly workers that braved the cold and wind to make our roof happen...I highly recommend Prizio for gutters and roofing. I feel very lucky to have found Prizio Roofing & Siding Co. They have come out to repair a leaking skylight on an older home that I have recently purchased and I have been very impressed at how quickly they have responded to my request and of how they stand behind their work. I know that in 5 years this house will need a new roof, and I am thrilled that I have already found the company that will be doing the work when it is time for the that new roof. After recently remodeling my house, protecting my investment was a priority. I hired Prizio Roofing & Siding to handle my roofing maintenance, including chimney flashing repairs, winter snow removal, replacing damaged shingles, and installing mesh leaf guards for my gutters. I dealt directly with the owner (Jonathan Prizio) for each project and found him to be extremely professional. I was impressed with his promptness in returning my phone calls and was happy that he took the time to thoroughly answer all of my questions. I needed a new roof during one of the coldest weeks in January and called Prizio Roofing. Jon came right away, gave me a very competitive bid and did the job in a single day!
